And all options being available in all game modes (standing starts, mechanical damage, fuel/tire wear, penalties). This! and qualifying please 👍
Yeah, saw that, but its in regards to GT 7, I don't want to give up on GT 6 just yet. I shudder to think all that's left of GT 6 offline and seasonals is chase the rabbit. GT 7 is still a very long ways off.Sorry @Lawndart , but it's basically a shorter version of this question:

Yeah, but even back then it was less blatant. There is a feeling you get at a starting line, still or rolling, that sets the tone... If they just did stalls or penalties when you slam someone and slightly boosted AI awareness I think we would have a great racer on our hands.Actually "chase the rabbit" has been there since GT1. Even during races that featured qualifying, there would always be a lead car which just runs away from the pack.
There has never really been any randomness to the grid of opponents in gran turismo. Its a group of roadblocks and a runaway rabbit - none of which are applying gas or brake like a racing driver.
At this point I can't even imagine the GT series with proper AI, it seems that far away and such a complete shift in philosophy. I am not at all certain that challenging AI that is difficulty to differentiate from humans is part of Kaz's Vision.Even TOCA World Touring Cars on the PS1 (not sure if it had international names) had AI that would nudge you off the track tactically rather than ram you as if you weren't even there.
