I'm there too. Low 20's with medium tires and no driving aids at all. It's an easy car to drive too hard into corners. It understeers with not enough power to rotate the car. I know it's illegal for the race, but the car is real nice with race softs up front and mediums on back.

Try lowering the rear downforce if you are having problem with understeer, or stiffen up the rear of the car.

I'm not experiencing any understeer, but you sure have to get in a rhythm on this track and it's going to be hard to maintain that for 35 laps.

I stiffened up the rear dampers a bit and it made a world of difference.

Thanks Bo. I did reduce rear downforce, but I'll stiffen the rear for tonight's practice.

What time is everybody practicing tonight? I'm off tonight so i'll be online. Hit me up if anybody is in a lounge.

I should be on tonite around 9:30 EST. Short sprints are pure madness w/ this combo! I'm mainly concerned about tirewear at this point so I might just be driving around and around and around in my lounge.

I've pretty much settled on having to run mediums and a 1 stop strategy. I was thinking about doing one stint on softs then switch to mediums for the rest of the race, but my times on softs are not quick enough compared to mediums to make it work. From what I've seen, everyone should be able to do 1 stop on mediums.

I'm getting low 19's on mediums and low 18's (with occasional high 17's) on softs.

This car just seems silly on Softs. Fast but silly. Managed a 1:17.433 in JT's lounge yesterday fwiw shredding the fronts. Wish this was a time trial!
Maybe Scorpion will tell us how long a pitstop takes here.

Wow, that's so cool you posted that. We were there that day passing through heading home from Orlando. Stopped for a bit and checked it out. Those things were flying!

Funny, I was thinking that would be a cool race for Friday Night Fiascos while we were watching.

I ran some practice tonight with JT and Mike. Tire stradegy goes right out the window when the racing gets good.I look forward to some close racing while shredding my front tires. At this point I'll have to do 2 stops with mediums.

Yes it's hard to think about tire wear when your door to door. Your going along fine and then look at the tire wear gauge and wondering if you can make it to pit road. But that's what this series is about having fun with no pressure.

Hey guys, if you got time i'm practicing in an open lobby. Come join me.

I had to change my driving style to be harder on rear tires. I was pitting to replace shot front tires and my rears were brand new.

Well. My throttle gauge has been reading on when I was off pedal. About 2mm up. It would cause the gas to stay on when off throttle mildly but I got used to it as it only occurred 80% of the time. For instance if I went off throttle in a turn at 50mph it would hold at about 45mph. So I could not have a true roll through for some time. About 2 seasons time.

Today I was on throttle and the car would stop accelerating. I thought bad gas pedal, then connection and possibly lag. Not.

I discovered the brake meter was now reading on about 2mm. Of course causing acceleration to halt. Took the pedals apart lubed up all the springs and pedal seats, put it back together and have yet to test.

JT, please check the connections that I described in my psn message. I had the exact problem and it was the "faston " connectors were not crimped tight. Pull them off, crimp them down with needle nose and reconnect. They're loose and as you press the pedals they lose connection.

Cool thanks. When I was in there I took those all off wiped and re-seated. Hope I didn't screw anything up while I was in there. Luckily I was drunk, it will help. You all know what I do when I'm sober.

Speaking of cooking tires. Bo, I need your help. I was trying to over clock my PC like you and I ended up just cooking on it.

Pit stop takes around 23-25 seconds from start to finish.

Well I was brakeless for a while. Brakes work now but only up to 85% or so. Throttle still sticks. Time to call Logitech. I had to move gears around to add more braking force. I don't know how long I've been running on short braking power. It's not like I watch the brake meter. The sticky throttle is not cool now. During one of my gear resets I was able to get the stick out and tried it. Not having throttle on is so much better for roll through. If I set it up not to stick I don't get full throttle about 80%. With it sticking I don't get 100% full throttle either. Maybe 97%.

At least u wont be over braking and wearing out front tires.

So we have another update and some DLC coming Jan 18th. Now before everyone gets all excited that PD actually listened to the online racing community, it doesn't mention that they are fixing the issues EVERYONE is having. No no they're fixing some B Spec stuff and giving us some more pretty home screens (can't wait to change mine). Oh but not to worry we are finally getting another new track....wait..for..it......a giant oval!!!!!! Wooooooooo hooooooo!!!!!!!! But best of all no new GTR with the new DLC cars. It's gonna be GREAT!!!!

At least the nascar hard ons will be happy.

Real world tracks is what I want. If its an oval then I hope its a short one. If not, I really don't care what track it is. Gimme a damn real world road course.

It is NOT a NASCAR track. It's a Hugh oval from the Acura video. Easy what you say about the old go fast turn left.

God, Country and NASCAR!

I've been keeping an eye on this thread. Jordan said he was just now posted about this. He linked to several gtplanet News posts that had PD bugs being addressed in the past. EDK indicated there may be some more gtplanet publicity after more research is done too. I think someone sent Kaz a message as well. I complained to Sony North America and they sent me some generic porting instructions while acknowledging no awareness of a "bug". PD is who needs a barrage of complaints anyway.

I'm certainly no tech guy at all, but this issue looks to have so many more variables than adding content or fixing a Time Trial glitch. Don't know whether to be hopeful or pessimistic. Certainly not something that will have an instant fix.

It's good timing we've got these casual races scheduled now w/o standings etc. I just wanna do some fun runs with the new cars. So many race groups are cancelling, postponing or breaking into 8 player rooms.

Edit: DLC-A Nissan Leaf! Really. REALLY. good grief.
