Spoke to Logitech. Pedal replacement on DFGT will be honored only if product is less than a year old. Mine is way older than that. So...has anyone here purchased their wheel within a year? I understand Logitech does not ask for the old pedal set back. This way I can have it. Anyone? Bueller. Bueller. Bueller.

What proof of purchase do they want? U pretty sure mine is a month or two under the one year.

Sorry, I just picked up used DFGT used on eBay for $60. I had the same problem with my DF Pro. Out of warranty, but the connector issue fixed my problems.

I pinched connectors again and moved all gears up a notch. The problem is with the base plate play for the pot. The gear system is cheap so play is prominent there. The play at the gears results in movement of the pot plate/mount until it becomes increasingly worse. The springs have also slightly worn grooves into the plastic creating gaps and further play. I finally worked out the sticking throttle to only every now and then and brakes to 85% only every now and then. It will occur again in full I'm sure. Just wore out.

My old Logitech wheel did the same thing. My main problem was my brakes sticking on though, not much, but enough to make it undriveable. For quite a while I could "fix" mine by waiting until I got in a the room, going on track and then immediately stopping the car, I would then unplug the connector from the pedals to the wheel and plug it back in. That would cure my problem until I left the room, this worked for a couple of months before mine got so bad that nothing helped. I even made a shim out of some thin plastic to try to take up slack in the pedal pivots.

I don't get 85% braking with my pedals now, the most they will go to is about 75% and that requires a lot of pedal pressure. At first I played with my brake bias to overcome that, but now that I've gotten used to it my bias is back to where it was and I really think it's helped with my driving (can you say "tire wear"). ;)

Oh, lucky you.

Good practice today. Finally got the line down and am setting better times. If the sprints we have been doing is any indication of what this race will be like it should be fun for all. Hopefully we'll have a tight pack of cars winding around this little raceway!!!

All racers please try to be in my lounge prior to 9:30pm so I can't get a head count before opening the public lobby. That way we avoid the people who can't comprehend PRIVATE LEAGUE/KICK. Thanks guys and see you tomorrow.

I'm withdrawing from this. Thanks RR and JT.
pm's sent.

Pedals sometimes stick and sometimes don't. It was better today at least.

 are you guys fast !

I can only manage 1:19's on softs :nervous: and a measly 1:21's on Mediums :indiff:

Guess I will be watching this race from the back of the pack

I do notice that the start of the race will be kind of congested.
So I thought I would try to figure out Recommended ...

Autumn Ring Passing Zones:

Turn 1 hairpin corner at the end of the long front straight, stay inside and outbreak your opponent.

Turn 7 medium speed sweeper onto the back straight, careful not to push your opponent off the outside of the corner!

Turn 8 downhill 120° tight corner, try not to 'dive bomb' you opponent please!

Turn 9 tight right hander at bottom of hill, careful not to run wide or bump fellow race driver off int the grass or sand!

Turn 11 it might be possible to out brake your opponent into this uphill corkscrew corner.

That is the best passing area's I could come up with in my racing this week on Autumn Ring. Good luck to everybody and be nice to your fellow racers tonight, especially the slow ones :sly:

I ran a few races last night with friends not in the league and found the easiest place to pass was turn 1. Get on the inside, line up door handles and touch the other car gently....8 tires grip better than 4...old NASCAR move. :sly: (kidding)

I wanna wish my friend e46 a good race tonight, he'll be sporting the jess-n-dre tune ( 1:17.3 softs/1:18.8 meds, tire wear excellent. To everyone else I practiced with, I wish them a good race as well. "CLUTCH OUT, THROTTLE DOWN" YUUUUP!!!!!!

:dunce: I find that hard to believe.

I busted a few 1:18's without draft but they are hard to come by. Haven't been on softs much to know what they do.

Same here. Just a matter of rhythm on this track
