Mini Cooper 1.3i is what I call fast.

61 HP Stock - Weight= 1,584.0 Lbs

0 to 60 in 15.410 Seconds
0 to 100 in God knows what
1/4 of a mile in 20.205 Seconds

Man this car is the best. :scared:

So what do you guys think about the Mini. đź‘Ť

Once you look past the numbers (acceleration and stuff) the Mini is one hell of a sleeper, that's what I think! For one thing, it's so tiny! You can literally fit a Mini thru small spaces between cars and/or walls and use that as an advantage!

That is true. đź‘Ť

I see that alot of people like the Mini. It's great that it could whoop a Kei cars a$$ anyday. :D I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that loves the mini. I hit 110MPH stock in it. (With the help of slipstreaming here and there.) My Alto Works is more slower than it stock. The Mini is the best handling FF also.

EDIT: It is great fun driving these things...

I've always had a general love of all cars in the GT series and in the real-world. All of them have at least something of merit. Sure the Mini isn't gonna burn many track records...there's always gonna be a car that is faster, but that doesn't mean that it hasn't got plenty of advantages.

1. The stock suspension is low (just 105 mm) which is why it is so maneuverable with a lack of body roll.

2. Tiny...easy to fit thru spaces larger cars can't follow.

3. Upgrades available. I think in GT3 there are turbo AND NA tunes if I'm not mistaken. Plus you can bore the motor out a bit.

4. Lightweight.

5. Fun! No other car in GT handles like a Mini.

And there are a few more advantages the Mini has. The only cars I tend to stay away from the ones that aren't "real" (the LM cars, for instance). I hate it when PD puts a car in the game then can't back it up with any statistical data (engine size, power, etc)

Parnelli, I see the red tick of doom. :mischievous: lol just kidding. The Mini has AMAZING grip while cornering for an FF. It turns more than my 4WD Alto Works. It's not bad with acceleration for an FF too. Now to get off-topic. :) I just won a race with my fully modded alto works vs. jgtc cars and a CLK DTM. I had RSS tires and fully modded the car. I won by 0.636. It was one of the most challenging, fun race that I've won, in a LOOOOOOOOONG time.

Wow! Which race is taht? I mean that?

It was the arcade mode race on normal, since I didn't want to do 5 laps of horror. Everytime on a straight away, I had to go in front of the supra JGTC so he can push me. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have hit 6th gear. I don't know how a 238HP compact with amazing turbo lag can keep up with 470HP race cars. It takes true concetration. Even though all I won was a gold trophy, it was worthwhile. I had a blast! This was on deep forest BTW.

I like the mini's also. Back years ago they gave the rally world hell. Small lightweight, not much power but that's not a big deal if you consider the power to weight ratio and the fact that they handle very very good. On a track they are hard to keep up with. Sure you might catch them on the straights but as soon as you are in the turn...the mini is in the straight:)

I like the fact that no one has underated the Mini Cooper 1.3i YET. It's the car that made love driving slow cars. đź‘Ť The Mini provides nice, slow fun. Again a bit Off-Topic. :) How about the Diahatsu Mira Avanzato? It's similar to the Mini, power wise. I like this car just because it has a turbo on it stock. It's not such a bad car either.

Never drove the Daihatsu in GT3 much but I raced plenty of kei cars in GT2 and many of them are fun. đź‘Ť The obvious challenge is to smoke a regular car with one of these little guys, which can be done since they don't need so much braking in corners.

Parnelli... you missed out on alot...

Blame it on GT4 dude! GT3 feels like a very small appetizer to the main course. I will be eating that main course (GT4) for a long long time. The waiter will be pissed because I'm not leaving that table for several years.

But... I gave GT3 a year and a half of serious game time...đź‘Ť it's not like I blew it off; I just didn't get to all the cars.

đź’ˇ Maybe the best idea would be to stick it in the back of a Subaru wagon, drive the wagon around the track, stop just before the end, pull the Coop out drive across the finish line.

I think you need a Gameshark code to do that though.

You could do that in GT2, there was a glitch where you can go through the opponents car, most easily done if you have the same car going the same speed. Then lightly turn to the opponents car, then you might go through him and get stuck in his car until you turn, then it seems like you got rammed hard by your opponent behind you, because you get a sudden jump of speed. :sly:

Yeah pull a James Bond move **#*#*!:sly: đź‘Ť

I would like to add some data I recently came up with on the Mini.

0-60MPH in 13.95 seconds
0-400M in 19.466 seconds @ 68MPH
0-1000M in 36.394 seconds @ 87MPH

Top speed 108.1MPH

Now lets compare it to the Diahatsu Mira TR-XX Avanzato R.

0-60MPH in 13.483 seconds
0-400M in 19.202 seconds @ 69MPH
0-1000M in 36.039 seconds @ 87MPH

Top speed 108.1MPH

This car beat the Mini Cooper 1.3i at Laguna Seca Raceway by 1.2 seconds.

Note: These are the cars approximate powerband curves.
