My car says the oil is worn. I've changed the oil several times and it keeps taking my credits for it, but isn't resetting my oil status. Any ideas?

Happened to me initially, yesterday. Then, after a few more tries, one after the other, the oil was changed. Haven’t had an issue since.

I had the problem and found a solution: change the oil and then get your car washed right after. It updates both after.

I assume that if the oil condition is normal or worn (as opposed to excellent) that there is an effect on performance. Does anyone have any idea how much effect there is? The PP doesn't actually change after an oil change, but there must be some difference, otherwise why have it in the game? If it doesn't actually make a difference, then why spend the credits? Same question with engine condition and body rigidity. Has anyone just continued to run indefinitely after they have reached the worn condition to see if something eventually breaks, or blows up, or is there just some set small amount of performance penalty that is barely noticeable. Or is it all just window dressing?

With oil there is a very small change, I didnt even see the power changing, just PP was changing by about 0.3.
Though of course this may vary by car.

Body rigidity also changes PP, sometimes increases, sometimes decreases, but whatever it does to the handling of any car, restoring it will reset it to the point of a fresh upgrade.

Cant tell about engine condition, havent spend enough time on a single car.
