Hello, please don't flame/ban me in case this is not the proper forum to post about this. Running out of solutions and research came up with no result. Have posted the issue on Xlink Kai help forum, hoping to get more exposure to fellow GT racers with the know how in this forum. Here is the post, for those spent time to read through, thanks in advance.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, have been using Xlink Kai before successfully, running into some headache after changing router. Would appreciate any help. Have switched from a Dlink router to Linksys, simply the Dlink stopped working and found the Linksys at the time not bad of a deal. Here are some info...

CPU o/s: Windows XP Pro 32bit
Console: PS2 Slim
Xlink Kai: version 7.3.1.7
Router : Linksys WRT320N
Game trying to connect with: Gran Turismo 4
Connection: hardwired

Have read through port forwarding guide here http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT320N/Xlink_Kai.htm

Installed and ran the port checker shown here http://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm
- results said port is open but couldn't ping router.

Read through and followed exactly the steps shown here
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=65171
- although before when it worked, i never had to disable WinXP DHCP and manually enter DHCP settings in PS2 network configuration. Use DHCP was set to "Yes".

I remember one last thing I had to do when using the Dlink router before, is to enter the PS2's MAC address into the router's MAC filtering and deny access. That finally got me connected to others. However, in the new Linksys router configuration page, there is only option for MAC filter with wireless connection.

Now with the new router, port forwarding is done. When I open Xlink Kai, Network Reachable is Yes, Network Card is selected and locked. When PS2 tried to connect, it says "PS2/PS3, configured successfully" (even before i followed the guide on gtplanet.net). It'll be stuck at the "Waiting for Connection" screen and doesn't detect host, while other players would detect. (Once host detected, the 2 dashes in "WFC" screen will shrink to 1 dash). Xlink Kai is in exception list within Windows XP firewall. The Linksys router has "SPI Firewall Protection" enabled, I've tried disabling it with same result.

Very much appreciate any help, thanks in advance.
