I actually use the 73 skyline and the 73 bmw 2002 turbo, it takes a little practice cause theyre a little underpowered but alot of fun. But im still trying to get used to drifting in general on the game haha

Best place to start in my opinion. Plus it's so much more fun ragging an underpowered car around than tiptoing around a track using half a cars power for 75% of the time. Trouble is it's tricky to tandem with normal cars. We need more people online drifting underpowered cars!

Anyway, back on topic. I currently have an '83 Mitsubishi Lancer EX 1800GSR Intercooled Turbo :D And I have the Toyota Celica mentioned above and an Isuzu 117 Coupe to try out :)

I drift the 67 skyline to great effect :)

The Volvo is an excellent car to drift with if you're used to older American cars. It's heavy and has a large wheelbase, it needs a good bit of power to get the tail around but it will smoke the tires clean off the rims once it has some extra horses.

^ then i guess i have a 67 skyline cause i have the same as above haha, but its hemi orange (its old school, you gotta make a statement :D) but i agree rufus, everyone should try out the old schools that are underpowered. Sure it takes a while to learn but once you nail corners in it, it feels great. You can almost always go in full throttle. I just picked up one of the celicas to try out so we'll see how that goes :)

My drift car right now is the 1965 Toyota Sports 800. It has some 40 hp stock, its got a two cylinder boxer and is incredibly slow, but tuned it is such a screamer, but still slow haha, when you get the hp up to 80+ it gets really easy to toss around.

Right now I have it running with 99hp and 114 pounds of torque. Its great in the corners and has power all throughout the rev range. The sound is amazing!

Stage 2 weight reduction
Window weight reduction
ecu tuning (even though its carbed lol?)
stage 2 engine tuning
Sports intake manifold
Racing air filter
Sports Exhaust manifold
Sport cats
Racing exhaust
Mid range turbo
5 speed close ratio tranny
twin plate clutch
semi racing flywheel
carbon drive shaft
height adjustable suspension
and comfort medium tires all around

The 83 Mitsubishi Lancer EX 1800GSR Intercooled Turbo is super fun with 200+HP. I also on a whim tuned up a VW Karman Ghia, believe it or not it drifts well but slooooow. Of course the 'Initial D" spec AE-86.

ive been drifting a GT350, plenty of power and it powerslides all the time before you even start tweaking it. never going to be a great drifter but its still a lot of fun hearing a massive V8 bouncing off of the red line.
