Oldsmobile Aerotech

I was browsin round this Fastautos website, i noticed oldsmobile had built something quite special, the aerotech. I think this car looks amazing, and it can apparently reach an incredible speed of 278mph. this car was built back in 1987. There are hardly any specifications, was this car dumped?
I think it is a car that has been forgotten.
A pic of it, i think it looks wild
Sorry i just thought i'd bring this up, it was just on my mind

As I recall, AJ Foyt was the one who got it up to that speed (he set two records - Oldsmobile touted them in their adverts - one in the flying mile, and the other in a closed course, both for high top speeds), and also as I recall, it was scrapped and generally forgotten when Oldsmobile took development a different direction.

I used to have a Matchbox silver Aerotech, which is the only reason I know of the car.

its still alive. olds takes it to some shows, but its only a show car. I have a book where its featured. Ill get some data if I can. theengine,I know it, its a turboed, intercooled four, wich made some700hp. and yes, it was AJ Foyt who took it to 270+ mph. there was a version wit a long, low tail and no wing, and a version with a short high deck and a wing. maybe I can scan them, and give the specs. that if I can find the book!

Yeah, there was the long tail version, and the short tail version, I remember reading about it somewhere...:)

yeh ur right, i ave seen the 2 silver Aerotech, long and short tailed- oh and i also have this Orange matchbox Aerotech too :P i think that how i found out about the car in the first place as well
i would love to see this car in GT4, but the chances of that are 1 in a billion. But if it were it would probably slaughter the competition >)

i'm not sure but i think this car look a litle similar to a corvette deam machine (another concept).

a few things are changed but the car look so similar to me.

btw the vette didn't had that rear wing.
