yesterday i was on my way home from work when i pulled up to a set of traffic lights at the beggining of a motorway. there was a audi TT quattro along the left side of me and a nissan micra to the right of me. looking at the TT he had a women in the seat next to him, thinking that it would be his girlfriend/wife etc.. he would probarly try and beat me away from the lights. so in an imature act i started to rev my engine. he obviously new what was going to happen and started revving back. thinking that he would have a big advantage pulling away because of that 4WD system i got a bit worried and was considering backing down, but then the lights turned and all my worries faded as i completely dessimated him. i couldent believe how easily he was outpaced, i continued until i had to pull onto the motorway. until yesterday i always thought of the TT`s as being fast cars. obviously not that fast.

Well, it definitely depends on the trim level. I'm guessing you drive a Z3? Did you know that the new Miata can smoke a Z3?

But really, what's it all mean? Not a whole lot - they're just cars.

the standard integra or the type R. my friend had the standard model and it had great handling. the front wheel drive gave it pin sharp handling. i would of loved to have a drive of the type R. oh yeh will someone tell me the specs of the new miata

I don't know the specs of the new Miata, but the Z3 he was referring to is the low-end models. You'd have no problem with a Miata if you have an M Roadster.

Either, really. A stock R would probably kill a stock TT given equal drivers.

a stock Type-R can stay in front of a Mustang GT (trust me...) so it would have no problem staying in front of a TT...

besides, the TT weights well over 3000 pounds,it's nothing more than a "dignified" New Beetle...

as far as what a stock TT can beat... well, sports car wise, there are not many...

One thing about an audi tt, the potential is there to make a beast and Id look better in an audi tt.
The audi tt is one of the standards of body style right now and every manufacturer is copying the design in some way or manner. It does seem flattering. :D
Its all relative and who knows, he may have toyed with you.
Misnblu

*SHOCK AND AMAZEMENT*

Is that misnblu I see? It can't be! What have you been up to? It's so rare that you come around, but you were one of the first members of all.

Well, the Audi isn't really known for speed or excessive horsepower... it's a beautiful car that has set the bar for car design, with just enough power to satisfy all but the most enthusiastic people. I think it's a great combination... plus, if you've ever seen one up close, they're just magnificent pieces of work *droool*
