One race left...cannot beat it...Ferrari F430...help

I have beat all of the C class races, all of the B class races, and all of the A class races except for the Ferrari F430 one where you start out at the end of the pack and have to beat them all in one lap. I have played this a few dozen times and the best I have managed to muster is 8th place. What is the trick to this track?

Can anyone help?

I suggest to just keep practicing it. Perhaps you could go check the online time trial leaderboards for the track and watch the top laps to see where you can shave off a few more seconds. Take note of braking points, speed through the corners and split times.

Good luck, you'll need it after you open up S class.

If you haven't already done it, disable ASM, and cut TCS to 1 or 0.

Other than that: practice, practice, practice!

You have to be really agressive with the AI cars. You don't have time to follow them. Draft as much as possible on the straight, but don't touch the AI cars or the wall. It slows you down. Especially don't hit the AI cars in the rear cause that REALLY slows you down.

You mean the F40 right? well don't be afraid to be aggressive, if you have to touch the A1 cars do so, just not at the rear but you can nudge on the side going around the bend, also lower your gear ratios to the lowest possible.

He's stuck on A8, the F430 at Daytona road. And he hasn't unlocked quicktune yet.

Work on your exit speeds for the corners that take you back onto the oval. Too much gas sends you sideways. Too little gas gives you a crummy time.

One of the early turns (third?) you can dive through in fifth gear. Just make sure you brake enough for the upcoming corner.

I found that if you can be in about 11th or 12th coming onto the oval its fairly easy. Just draft draft draft and you cant hit anything! Once you get to the chicane you should be able to grass cut most of it and end up in about 6th, draft you way to victory! Remember you only really need third unless wanting to gold everything.

Just slow down a little and hit the e-brake so that your car bounces off the wall (about parallel to it), so that you hardly lose any speed. By the next right turn you can bounce off an AI car and should be in 9th or 10th spot from there.

I just realized that today...on accident I ended up in there. I raced about 20 times today and could only get a best of 6th place...

Yeah, this test is all about corner-exit speeds and drafting, don't waste any time wheelspinning out of corners, and draft as much as possible. Oh and be agressive with the chicane rumble-strips, really use all of them.

OK I just ran it again with stock settings. I got silver but I can't get gold on this one without quicktune. Here is a corner by corner of what I did for silver. Turn off TCS when you first enter the event menu. You need it off so you can control the rear with the throttle without the game "helping" you.

Turn 1: Keep some throttle on as you apply the brakes to keep the rear end from stepping out. Aim for the rear of the AI car. When you bump it you will slow down and nudge him to the outside so you can turn inside of him and the next car too.

Turn 2: Blast through at full throttle.

Turn 3: Dive to the inside of the next car. If you get your nose inside his fender you can use him to help you through the corner.

Turn 4: Move to the left coming off turn 3 to position yourself to take the next 2 cars through turn 4. Full throttle and hang on!

Turn 5: Dive inside the next car going into turn 5 and power through.

Turn 6: Move left and outbrake another car going to turn 6.

Turn 7: You should be 9th coming onto the banking. Draft the next car until you catch it and then move outside to pass this group of 3.

Turn 8 & 9: Now you're 6th and coming up to the bus stop. Brake late and dive to the inside (right side) of the next car and power past all 3 in the chicane. You come out running 3rd.

Turn 10 & 11: Draft past the 2nd place car.

Take the silver and call it good. You can come back after you unlock quicktune and adjust the car to get the last little bit you need for gold.

I to was stuck on this race and was pulling my hair out with frustration at only being able to achieve 7th. So I took a look on here and after reading all the advice in this post managed to pull off a 3rd place finish - very happy indeed! Now onto the S class...

1. enter pit lane @ 1st corner with half throttle
2. you will be just back of the F40 @ pitlane exit
3. then push hard to the back chicane
4. cross the chicane with half throttle speed
5. @ last oval u must be drafting with the 1st F430

it's not official but u can win easily

In Spec II I was able to gold the A8 race but was stuck on silver for the 2 eiger TTs and the 2 HSR TTs. After the Spec III update I was able to gold all 4 TTs. Only the M3 TT took me more than 1 try.

Hi, just like quite some people have a real struggle on The A8 event F430 on Daytona ring. I got through it recently, try to repeat this but do not make it (5th at best).
So persistence, breaking late, aggressive driving (push the other cars a bit) and having a bit of luck with the AI (3rd place can be from 2"01 to 2"04; difficult moments can have very few cars in the way and slipstreaming can come at the right time, cars might actually not push you off the track).
If you follow the vids on you tube (mostly tuned cars), use the tricks, check the corner speeds against your replay, you will probably not make gold without tuning, but you'll get through the event.
As others state manual gear change, no aids, learn to use the controls with a gentle start to slam when stable.

hehe...the easiest way to win is just use Standard Physics. I was using Professional for all the other races...and could'nt beat this one. But I beat it on the first try with standard

I used the Integra for most of the races in c and b,.and the gtr in Class A,.i havn't really been buying a lot of cars,other than those i have to,.i currently have about 400,00 credits. I would like some advice on what to use to try and go back and get golds,.thats my first problem,.my second is that i CANNOT get past this fecking 1 lap ferrari challenge on the daytona circuit,.best i get is 7th(maybe 6th once),.its doing my head in,.help is much needed,.i am currently using no driving aids,.everything is turned off,.that is advice i got already,.but cant pass this event...!,.also do you need to finish 1st,or will 3rd do?,.thanks.

Honda Integra or Ferrari F430 gold all. Or if you want to really cheat The Ford GT Spec II Test Car.

oops,.my bad,.dont know what happened there,.kind of jumped into the middle of this thread,.soz,...anywho,..managed to get 3rd on Ferrari F430 daytona today(easily 50 attempts ,.my right thumb is actually numb!!) ,.thank god,.currently enjoying playing about with S class now,and looking forward to trying the ferrari lap with tuned up car
