Well, I've done this for members at large, and for a competition amongst the drifters. Now its time to do it for the WRS.

I'm offering a one year GTPremium membership to a member selected by the WRS'ers. I'm asking that you as a group nominate members that embody the nature of the WRS (as you each interpret it) and GTPlanet.net. The person you respect for your own reasons. Maybe they turn in a consistent lap each week, maybe they are the fastest one you know, maybe it's the racer that helped you out the most, maybe it's the person that always encourages you to get just that much faster.

This is the nomination thread. Post in here the name of the person you'd like to see as the recipient of this good will gesture. The GTPremium upgrade helps run GTP, and it gives the benefits back to the members.

Please only nominate one member. Current year or monthly members get an extension of their membership, lifetime members can't get nominated. I'd like to, but they're already all set.

This nomination thread closes on Sunday November12th at noon (EST)

Thanks guys and gals.

Well I nominate Casio (Brad) for the following reasons:
  1. He is one of a few who race every week
  2. His posts always make me laugh
  3. He (sometimes) provides pearls of wisdom
  4. He has multiple personalities
  5. He has quite possibly the first V8 SEAT
I would support any WRS'ers nomination but since I can only vote for one, I choose Pikachu!

Colby would have gotten my vote for his great involvement over the past year, but his reward for that was to become the new admin.
So Kyle, alias KLR142 gets my vote.
He's been spending so much time in the WRS that he's had no time for any other thread here at the Planet, he's always been voluntarily checking NTSC replays, he's always ready to help newbies, etc.
He's doing a tremendous job for our community, most of which remains unnoticed. I think it's time for us to say Thank you Kyle.

I was about to nominate one of those two when I read the first post... But if I have to choose just one, I'll nominate Casio/Brad/Greg. For more or less the same reasons as Colby said... And he also updates the leaderboard. And it's a turbo V8 SEAT, isn't it?
Colby would've been an obvious choice, but moderators don't need Premium, do they? ;)

Woah. :scared:
That was unexpected! Thanks Cyril!!!!!!!!!! Awesome. 👍👍👍 I'm also going to try and make somewhat of a commitment to JGTC S3 this season, tried doing S2, but had to bail on that... I don't really make enough time for the WRS right now as it is, but, eh. I wish I had more time!

I really appreciate it, but I'm going to have to decline... I don't think I'd make usage of the premium account to warrant it... I'm sure someone else could make better use of it!

I'mma nominate Neil, BALLSTOTHEWALL! If he doesn't already have a premium account that is. He's always there, always a good guy, always ready to speak his mind. 👍 Brad's cool too though, don't get me wrong. 👍

EDIT: I don't have a maxdrive anymore either, as I was borrowing my now ex-roommate's... I'll go to his place when I need it, but I can't check replays like I used to. :-\

With two days to go in the nominations, there's only two people?

I'm not sure if I should post up a thread or just hand over a yar each.

Any others want to nominate someone?

I also nominate Brad, for all the reasons stated by Colby. Close between a few members for me though :)

I'm not a regular competer in the WRS but I sometimes check up on the competition and take part in the shadows, I rarely have time to hone my settings to be competetive (now theres and excuse) or to get a run I'm happy with submitting. But anyway I'll vote for Casio.

I've had the pleasure the past 18 months or so to pick up great tips and encouragement from Curtis (hOt6o4bOi) he was a big part of my leap into D1 last year, and in racing against him in person many times he is a true gentlemen driver does not win by 'ay means necessary' and waits patiently to pass, I'd nominate him. Although Holl01 would be a VERY close second choice as he always posts his killer setups and also has helped me in the past and I know others with his lap walkthrough's in the WRS have helped too. Cheers to the Ho-Ho's, I think you guys should be sponsored by Hostess, lolz.

I'd nominate Ben, although I'm unsure of the length of his Premiumness. But he's really improved and puts a lot of effort into each race 👍

hard to nominate in this one coz no one meets all the criteria...

- some people are fast or super fast but have issues with sportsmanship
- some people are a little slower, but give it their all
- there are only a few people that participate every week

i would have said MisterWeary or Flat-Out but seeing as both already have premium it rules them out...

i will have to have a think about it...

If we're allowed multiple nominations, I'd vote for Andy (shockwaveracing) too, you're a rock in the WRS buddy 👍

Wow thanks Brad 👍
One year, ending on sometime in June next year...

I nominate Hugo Boss.

While he is not as active as he used to be, he has helped me so much with GT racing as well as BC's and has always helped me when ever i asked. When he used to race he would always provide track disscriptions/settings if anyone asked and was very friendly and contributed more than just T times to the WRS. Most of all he was very modest and even though he was seconds faster he never once braged or talked down on anybody. 👍

I have a few others i would nominate if i could but they do not activly play GT anymore so Hugo Boss is definetly the best fit.
