Online championships - not very flexible and confusing

So trying to set one up to do a quick championship to run in one evening with races separated by 30-45mins, but you can't. You can only select races by the hour on the hour. Bugger.

But what I don't get is half my friends are missing from the list of available drivers. Some are online, some are not. Some are on patch 3 some are not (they're in the US). It seems arbitrary from what I can tell.

Anyone else getting a strange list? Why couldn't they just use the PSN friends list as a plug in here?

Also I can't find a way to name the championship.

And how does inviting work? Is it automatic?

The US does not have patch yet. Perhaps the bug you talk about is not a bug but you not knowing we don't have it yet. You know that time zone bug!

You'd think that. But some people I could add are in the US on patch 2! Some in the UK on patch 3 right now but are not available to select. Weird.

Hour of racing is only information for others drivers. When proppably you want start racing when you want. Raceing starts momentanly, when host enter in to lobby. In this moment there are send automatycly invites to all drivers from the of champioships list . More, nobody from outside the list can't enter lobby (even from friends list). They are automatycly kick out. Working perfectly.

Yep with a test we've sussed the times now. It generates an auto lobby with auto invites whenever the host starts. That's good.

So I just need to work out why the friends list seems to be missing about 50% of my 100+ friends when trying to create a drivers roster.

Anyone worked out how to name a championship? It doesn't seem to be editable.

Shame you can't use the all the same lobby settings you can in a one-off public race. I know a lot of people crying out for a default settings championship because it puts the focus on driving skill.

It's simple. You have too many friends on PSN. In game is li mited to 100 ppl., so if you have more friends on PSN you can't see all.

As of right now, it can’t be done.
It has yet to be confirmed if that ability will be added to online championships.

It's always boggled my mind as to why 99.9999% of private lobbies the per race durations are sooooo long aka more endurance racing than anything....some even with ungodly durations of 2-6 hours per race. Really confluffles my mind.
.....Just wondering, this time duration thing you mentioned, could this be why most lobby hosters have such long drawn out races?

Surely not? Why is there that limit imposed?! Damn can't they implement anything that reflects real world players?

Also why is it arbitrary? The list is missing random people. People that I've friended at all kinds of different times, some new ones are there and some old ones. It must also be a lot worse for other people - I've only had a PS4 for 6 months!

Well that completely screws me over and has just made online championships redundant. This MUST be fixed for the next patch if the online championships is to work for me.

What they should do is do it per friend group. I have 6 groups for 6 different leagues. 2 groups for random clean racers. 1 group for commentators. None of them number more than 50. This is just for PCARS as well. Forget other games!

Adding AI autofill solves the "No offline championships" problem. And what happens if only two people start a championship and want to be on the same team?

I'm sure they'll sort it out, to make pc2 goat...
