Online Connection Problems (Help Needed)

Ok guys, I host a GT5 Racing league on a Wednesday night. it has between 8-10 people in the league that race each week.

We are now into our third season and seem to be getting hit by the worst online connection problems we have seen.

Last night 2 people got Disconnected.
3 people had flashing lines under there names in the race lobby.
Most of us could only see around 3-4 racers in the race.
Only 1 person could see all racers.

Before this we had 1 person not being able to connected to the lobby.
I believe we have all our routers DMZ and done all we can with the setting.
I as host make sure I do not have anything computer/tablet connected to the router at the time I am running GT5. I have a strong internet connection, Running around 10mb.

Would having headset on low be causing problems.
Race quality is on Normal

We are all pretty fed up with, what is supposed to be the Racing game on the PS3 and the online is a shambles.
I would go as far as say EA servers are better than GT5.

Also can you setup a private lobby on GT5.

No, this is not causing the problems you all are having.

Yes, in your lounge but only friends can join.

Also, when you set up a normal room you can try setting it as a fixed host and see if it helps. Please keep in mind that if you are the host and leave or get disconnected the room with abruptly end and won't be handed off to the next guy in line.

Try setting up a lobby with voice chat OFF (headset/mic disabled). Voice-over IP consumes a considerable amount of internet bandwidth. Having voice chat off should make things run smoother.

Everytime i make a room on GT5 in always set the room up this way.

Race quality- high or very high
Voice chat quality- low

The only time I see things like you see is if another host of a room's connection is slow or if someone runs fixed host. Usually if i join a room with both settings on high there are issues with what you are saying.
