Looking for a good daytona setup for online racing, to run 41.6 or better!
Think you will have better success of replies, if you state to what car you intend to use the tune 👍

Good tune but there's no need for 5/6 brakes. 1/1 or 1/0 is plenty on an oval.
I always find it funny when Nascar guys talk about "driving style" as if there's some great level of skill involved in going fast and turning left. With the new weaker draft, if two good guys get in front and push it's virtually impossible to get by if they keep a low line, skill or no skill.

I am going to jack this thread but can anyone give me an explanation of the differences between the 2010 & 2011 cars as far as tunes. I have been away from my PS3 for the past 2 months and I have good tunes for my 2010 cars but when I tried it with the 2011 car it didn't feel right. Thanks for the help.
It probably didn't feel right because the physics were tweaked with the new update. As far as the cars being different, in my opinion, they are the same. I've just had to do some minor tweaking due to the overall physics change and the toned down draft.

Well seeing you PSN I.D. says it all.You have no idea what your talking about, yes you can get by,as you must have no skill to pass or move someone out of the way.Have you actually raced more than 10 laps and had to pit?Good luck with the 1/1 1/0 brakes. No rear brakes now that is funny.Talking about skill the Cappuccino Cup.Really like your doing what 135 MPH max.Must be real hard to handle the HP of those cars.LOL.
Driving style = high line or low line. Wheel or controller. Smooth on the wheel or jerky. That is driving style. As far as keeping the low line and nobody being able to get by, join my room sometime. My friend and I will take the high line and we'll show you the finish line. And the brake thing, go ahead and run 'em like that and see what happens to you the first time you gotta use them, lol. Maybe you should have some experience running at Daytona in a NASCAR car before you go making stupid statements like that.

First of all, you guys don't know much about this game if you're running 5/6 brake balance on Nascar. Even 0/0 doesn't mean no brakes. You need to think a little more outside the box, if you did you might just learn something new. Just because someone races in a series with low powered cars doesn't mean that's all they can do, just like if all someone does is go fast and turn left, that they can't drive a road course. Open your mind son, there's a whole world of possibilities out there.
Yes I can move someone out of the way, but I consider that cheating. Guys do it at shorter tracks in real life but they generally avoid it at Daytona because you can die there. I play the game the way I raced in real life and to me, if I can't pass clean, I don't pass at all. Passing someone by unsettling the rear of their car, or driving under the yellow line is dirty in my opinion. I call it integrity, perhaps you should look it up.
C'mon seriously? If you have a decent set up a partially trained monkey can drive a car high or low, especially with a wheel. Being jerky or smooth isn't a driving style, it's skill at holding a stick or turning a wheel within the confines of a video game. Driving style is late apex/early apex smooth entry/smooth exit, trail braking vs straightline braking, feathering the throttle, none of which come into play going fast and turning left.
I've run hundreds of Nascar races all with low brakes and it's not an issue on Indy or Daytona. If you're mind was a little more open you might learn something. I cracked the top 200 in the FGT TT with 2/0 and 2/1 brake settings and ran many laps within a couple of tenths of that time with 1/0. That's top 200 in the world son, dust off your FGT take it out for a time trial at 5/6 or whatever your preference is, let's see what your ranking is and then we can talk more about brakes and how to set them up. Until then, I'll rely on what I know to be factual about setting up the brakes when it comes to setting up a car.
