Hello GTPlanet,
As the title says, since the end of July there has been connection problems on the online section of Gran Turismo 5. I've never had trouble connecting with players before and nor had I problems with seeing them in game. When I try to connect to one of my friends, it sometimes comes up with an error that looks like this:
I know that the games are hosted by the first Playstation (the one with the crown) in the server, which is responsible for all data traffic between the different players. The player who is responsible for the data traffic is recommended to have a high connection speed, especially upload. The players are depending on the host wether they see other players or not and how smooth the game will be.
I've done some research and found this link:
http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/27459/how-to-fix-network-incompatibility-error-717-on-gt5
This link explains how the problem could be solved in both GT5 and GT5 Prologue. However, even after opening all ports, the problem still hasn't been solved. Therefore, my router doesn't support DMZ zones, which can put all the security for these ports aside.
My question is: does anyone of you have this problem too, and if so, how did you solve this problem?
NAT Type: 2
Bandwidth: High - Very High
Network server: Netherlands
Cheers,
JzAero
