I've been playing Prologue again and it seems to me that the online activity is way down. Everything I did yesterday had at most 2 other racers.

Has this game dropped that much in popularity, or am I just on at the wrong time? I was on between 9 and 10pm EST.

Yes, it has to a lot to do with the TT demo. Once that's over there will be a little more action on GT5P.:sly:

Good, I hope you're right. It was pretty boring racing with just one or two other people last night. I felt like I was just driving around the track by myself at times.

I concur with the conclusion:

For me:
1) GT Academy
2) WRS
3) Just some relaxing rounds in Arcade, to have fun

Do not come around to play online at the moment.

On top of this, I believe quite some "racing" activity moved to Forza 3, since only released a few months and new things do attract attention from people.

Heh, online in GT5P so suck!!!! Im the one that just sold my xbox and bought ps3 with prologue and im so disapointed =(((( I hope they will improve online racing in GT5 like x1000 better =]]]

I wouldn't worry too much. GT5 will be really good. You made a good decision.

I agree. I haven’t been on GT5P since the demo was released and I think that’s true for the majority of the other online regulars. Actually I can't wait until the time trial is over so I can race other people again.

fuji had a good turn out today racing between 16.30 & 18.00 gmt. Every race there were at least 5 or 6 cars sometimes even 10 this is good considering you sometimes only get the one guy to race against lol

if you race the professional races, theres a good chance you will catch a few people. I usually find full grids in 800pp Fuji

I have not been playing it for the past 3 months and probably wont until GT5 comes out.
Even noticed the hardcore GT5p players who were on day and night are not playing it anymore.

I was on last weekend for the first time in a LONG time, 5 or 6 months I believe. And It was ok... First I ended up in 800PP Fuji Intermediate which was funny... People just ram you like always... then went over to 800PP Fuji Expert and it was not bad... turn out was ok... Connection problems also seem to be fixed or better now... I think I will be on a bit more here and there... It was fun taking out some 800PP rides again. :D

I too think the connection problems seem to better, haven’t had one problem with it yet however I had forgotten how annoying this game is when everyone thinks its destruction derby.

Tuned Vette at Fuji 800pp tonight at xx:00 and xx:30.
Full grids all night. 👍

Tell your friends.

This prompted me to fire it up again and give it a try. As per the usual routine, I always get into the first race (or room) that I enter and then Fail to Connect in every race after that. After 1 race and 4 consecutive failures to connect, I gave up once again :nervous:

I always end up matching with only one or two cars at :00 and :30. Guess I'm just playing at the wrong time?

I think a lot of people get turned off by the large amount of cheaters and lousy racers - I find it more fun to do Time Trials instead.

I guess it depends, i don't always get full grids but i usually get into matches with a bunch of people... alot of times ill find a race with a bunch of Amuse S2000's trying (horribly) to drift or a a bunch of Ford GT LM spec cars. I've never experience this "fail to connect" business but chances are ill be getting this everytime i try an play, now that i have heard of it... that just my luck lol.
