certain cars, mainly racers have tunes that i got off this site, then browsing this section i came across a topic regarding the viper str10 acr and people saying its un-drivable with all upgrades and i agree if you dont use good throttle control like, so thought as im after another muscle car id try tuning it myself :dopey:...

i did it on the full nurb track as many do and i got a 7:06.621 which is good with my bad driving on that track  and i took some ideas from the tunes ive used off here and this is what i got...

959hp
1257kg

1. racing softs
2. standard trans(do have custom, but wanted to put the rated 389mph to test lol, though nurb not good for that)
3. lsd - top 15 mid 20 bot 15
4. suspension - height -15 -15 rate 9.5 / 10.5 damp ext 8 / 5 damp comp 8 / 5 roll bars 7 / 7 camber 1.0 / 1.5 toe -0.23 / 0.23
5. brakes 9 / 7

maybe someone with skill on the nurb(or any really) can give feedback 👍 cheers..

edit: might help if i added the power and weight of car lol..

I tried it out...I drove the car somewhat conservative and pulled a 7:05.159, and went off track several times.
In comparison, I ran my own setup as well, with the same power and weight. With that setup, I spun right before entering the main straight, so I lost a lot of time there, and went a 7:02.1xx.

The good:
Your tune was more stable through the high speed sections than mine. It tracked fairly predictable in the 140+mph sections of the 'Ring.
The handling was fairly neutral.

The Bad:
The braking was borderline awful. I run with the ABS at either 1 or 0, and I found myself having to modulate the brakes badly with your brake settings. Much more work to slow down for corners.
The LSD settings were way too soft. If you got 1 tire off the track, you have to let off or you're going to swap ends.

I must admit, that either tune would have gone into the 6 minute lap easily if I didn't have a 3 year old walk up and try to take the controller from me in the middle of a couple corners.

Try my settings (or mix and match)

Ride Height - -1/0
Springs - 14.8/16.4
Damper Extension - 7/6
Damper Compression - 4/4
Anti-Roll Bar - 4/5
Camber - 2.6/2.0
Toe - 0/0.05
LSD - 18/37/25
Brakes - 6/4

I will say, mine gets a little hairy in the high speed sections, but it's pretty good through the moderate speed 2nd and 3rd gear sections, which is a good part of the track.
I also have the rear downforce set to 35.

1st of all:
The car is NOT un-drivable.
The stock Suspension is very nice (works very well with the 1552kg of weight)
I only bought a new Wing (set to min DF) and Sports Soft tyres.

I pulled a 7:15.xxx on the Ring (can be done better with a FC-Tranny equipped)

Specs:

442 bhp (power reduced by about 25%)
1552 kg (540 PP)

hey, thanks for the feedback, good to know that i got it somewhat right lol. think i had 5 on traction, so likely wont have noticed the braking as bad, i just cant drive the nurb quick enough without losing it at some point :dopey:... i havnt been on for awhile, so i will test you tune and probably combine it with mine, see what positive comes of it..

i know one thing, my setup is awful on oval indy lol, you cant hold good speed on corners without hitting the wall.

Just an update for you, I don't have my exact specs on me since I'm at work right now, but I ended up taming the car more with even stiffer springs in the rear as suggested in another thread on here.
