I got this car today and it is great for speed/grip runs, trying to get it to drift on the other hand is horrid.

My problem with it is that it seems to have no off the line torque. The car has 903HP in its current set up and wont pull till about 1/3-1/2 way through each gear. Now keep in mind when it gets there its all hell and pulls like a train but up till then, NO.

This just confuses me cuz i have tried and tried to come up with something to let me drift this thing. I can get it to enter the drift Perfectly fine and about 1/4-1/2 way through the corner it drops Power at a horrible rate. It just seems like it has no power to turn the wheels whatsoever.

I've tried about 40 different setups with the LSD and nothing seems to help i have ASM and TCS all at 0 and it just wont for the life of me seem to keep power through a sustained drift.

If anyone could be so nice as to try and experiment with this to just keep power in a drift i can do the rest^^ thanks!

903hp is way too much for drifting, and im assuming you're using the biggest turbo's u could get your hands on, and im sure u know the bigger the turbos the bigger the lag.

Actually the Option Stream Z comes with 800+hp with no turbo, adding the ONLY turbo available gives it 903hp. And ive tried to go without a turbo at all with the 800hp set up and it still bleeds power at a high rate during a drift.

And yes i know that the bigger the turbo the more lag you have, but still, a car with 800+hp should be able to smoke the rubber off of a set of N1 tires during a drift with traction control off and NOT bleed power like it was an 80hp wuss trying to burn S3's.

Anyway's thanks for the help and proffered advice, i'll keep tinkering with it and let you know if i come up with anything. So far i think the only purpose this car is going to have for me is racing Nurburgring^^. It's plenty fun to drive due to its stable set up stock. Anyway's, thanks once again for the help.

Yeah, I have this car maxed out. It's no good for drifting. It gets all it's power in the high RPM's. It's a great car, just not for drifting.

It starts out with 770 hp. When you go to upgrade the turbo, it specifically states that the powerband is higher up in the RPM range. I'm sure you could find another car that will drift much easier and nicer then the Option Stream Z.

800 hp doesn't mean anything if you don't have response...the reason why this car makes hardly any power in the bottom end is because of the car's low compression. I don't have exact figures, but guaranteed it's not going to make any power down low. Such is the sacrifice for a top speed monster.

i dont know if this has anything to do with it not drifting but the Option Stream Z 350z was actually built for the Silver State Classic Challenge which is a high speed race especially in the class this car runs in so more of a top speed high end car
