Bonson, whatever you do mate, dont leave the series.. trust me! You can ask any of the boys how much i struggled on the hards in the S15 series.. it was not enjoyable at some stages of the series, but it was a challenge none the less. I am a better driver now than i was at the start of the last championship. Now i go to the open lobby to kick ass, then i jump in with the regulars to improve and rise up to the challenge.
Always winning doesnt make you a better driver, it probably just makes you complacent. I know i'de be at or close to the top if i was running softs while xerx, oni and lost were on hards, but that wouldnt be any fun. Its true driving style needs to be adjusted to suit different tyre compounds, but if you make it to the end, its so much more rewarding.
bare in mind that there is a 2 second difference between the softs and the mediums, and 2 seconds between the mediums and the hards. We have been doing all our testing on the mediums, havent touched the softs at all. This will mean that the drop to hards wont "hurt" as much as when we were going from softs to hards in the last series.
also, remember the slower drivers will be on mediums most of the time, so there isnt a huge difference in performance. And given your speed, you may well end up in front of them anyway!
So what im trying to say is, dont FK off, stay with it, challenge yourself and you will be a better driver by the end of the series.
