Called Logitech, they gave me a code to pick up a new one straight up. went down to Dick Smiths and got the replacement. Logitech said they are aware of this problem with the optical sensor wheel in G27's.
That's the reason I considered fixing it myself, it seems to be a manufacturing fault that's in all G27's to a varying degree.
But here's hoping that I don't need to make any more calls to Logitech!

Sorry for the late reply Tiz. Been a crazy time with work and your message got lost in the fluff from 2 drivers.
At the moment the series is full. I can put you down as a wild card incase a driver cannot make it and you can drive for them.
However as a heads up i will be starting a wednesday night series as well due to popular demand which will use a few of the new Touring cars. I'll be posting more info about that in the coming days (after i do some testing with the new TC cars).
would it be too late to get my name down for this competition? i race online regularly with another group of guys, but would love to race this also.. im a pretty clean/consistent driver.

Well I managed to just squeeze out 1 qualifying lapThanks for the heads up Small Fryz:tup: Apparently the little icons don't update once you have loaded up the community tab, so I didn't know everyone was having fun without me
As for the race I started in 14th (though I thought I qualified 12th
) had a good inside line at turn 1 and made up some positions anyway. Touched the grass at 100R which gave me a bit of a tank slapper though.Wasn't sure on exactly what tyre strategy to employ so I went to half distance for my first stint, it seems most went to about 1/3 before pitting so I was in 6th for a period of time.
My team mate (Dan_Holland) came out of the pits in front of me, with Small_Fryz (I think) and another behind me. Determined to do my best Massa and fight on my worn tyres to give Holland a helping hand Fryz had to wait half a lap and got by me on the straight with much better traction out of the final corner*, and the other came down the inside after getting pulled along in my slipstream.
*Small_Fryz I hope there was no problems with that.
By the time I got to half way I was doing mid 1.53s and they were starting to creep up with my front tyres pretty shot. Lap 18 saw me pit in and switch to Sports Soft, since I had reached half way I figured that the softs should see me come home hard against the mid pack.
As it turned out I was eating into jol_1 and the other guys times quite handsomely, however I really needed to pit a little earlier which would have potentially bought me within overtaking range by the final few laps rather than the less than 1 second that I finshed behind jol_1.
I also hit the wall and come to a complete stop when entering the pit, it had been a long long time since I have needed to pit at Fuji and forgot that there was a little chicane at the entrance to the pit
Anways I finally did better than 10th coming in at 9th and setting two fastest laps in a row. 1:50.022 being the fastest

I slip stream jol_1 for the entire length of the straight but can’t get close enough to pass, Evan1080 goes deep under brakes on the inside...

Again Coca Cola is the scene and Evan1080 and I almost come to a side by side collision! However we both enact evasive manoeuvres spearing off each side of the track and ? goes through unharmed.

I have maintained 11th place for the lap, not gaining any not losing any. The pack has started to spread out into single line.

I stuggled for the first 6 laps slipping from 10th to 14th with three massive moments, the first at Dunlop where under brakes I had to quickly swerve to avoid rear ending another and losing it in the infield and slid back across the track almost ending Oni race, phew
Another was in the second corner where I shot off the left hand side of the track almost taking out willco
I pitted after lap 12 ( for a 2 pit strategy ) came out on softs and set consistent lap time (1.50.xxx) and clawed back to 4th.
I ended up staying out on softs for the rest for the race, losing 3 places to faster drivers on fresher tyres, mike, rota and ONI.
I managed to put 24 laps on my softs turning my race to a 1 stop race
They were absolutely shattered by the last lap with no front traction at all, probably losing 5 second.
Great race boys, well done stigg and Dan
But well done rota, mate you and I are both on 30 points.

Good race last night.. had a good argument with Evan early in the race, we both had turns at almost taking each other out.. then I was chasing Jol for a while, but just couldn't close in on him.. then after my 1 and only planned stop at lap 17, I had Spinner on my tail for many laps, and then.. I turned in too early for turn 2, cut it, car got unsettled, lost it, and poor old spin had nowhere to go! (sorry spinner mate)..
We both got damage, I tried to continue without stuffing up my 1 stop strategy, but had a mad lock up into turn 1, almost lost it and hit Wayne (sorry mate) - and decided to park it (#@#&).
At least i had Rusty there to keep me company! So i took a quick video of the replay with my iphone (sorry for poor quality)..

That's OK mate, just saw the replay before you missed your braking mark by about half a lap
...Also how the #$^% hasn't Dan being penalised this series yet? He has broken at least one racing rule every outing I've been in...
I watched two laps of Stig chasing him down at the start of the race and he changed lines down the pit straight 9 times (6 times on lap 6-7) ...
I have to ask a question to Mr White Knight, going on the back he has made more offenses in these 4 races than the entire ISF series? Why haven't you been more strict?

To be fair, Stig was changing lines in front of me down the straight later in the race, I have also seen quite a few people using the run-offs at Nurburgring.
I didn't say anything because really I just don't care lol, and I don't think most of these times were on purpose, but if we're going to get strict, then I didn't want some people to be unfairly penalised while others get off completely.
Personally I don't think anyone should be penalised yet, I think we should just mention again that you CAN"T CHANGE LINES ON THE STRAIGHT MORE THAN ONCE TO AVOID SLIPSTREAM, and that you CAN"T INTENTIONALLY USE THE RUN-OFFs.
If it continues though I suppose penalties are the way to go.

I can only give a warning to Dan the reason is pretty simple. He along with Fryz and a few others are new to this series and i DID NOT state in the rules clearly that you cannot make more then 1 blocking move during a race (F1 rules) therefore he wouldn't have known.
As more new comers joined the series i should have put all these rules into the OP (original post) as i failed to do that Dan hasn't been aware of it hence made the moves. So its my own fault for that.
Im sure now he and all know that you cannot make more then 1 blocking move and no swerving side to side down the straights to break drafts.
I will put all this stuff into the OP later as i dont have the time right now.

@Mike. That is correct i cannot penalize one and not the other.
The rules are in full force from races here on out. So be careful and aware of what is acceptable and what isn't. If you are unsure of something during a race the simple thing to do is DON'T do it. Why risk the points. So ask before hand before the qualifying or after. It is hard enough for me to have to answer everyones questions during the qualifying and try put a fast lap down (which i have given up on now due to constant interruptions).

I've been doing my best to adhere to the rules, although not doing my best to finish races. Lost it into turn 1 after I saw stig came out ahead of me when he was on a 1 stop and I was on a 2 stop. That was just brilliant.
Something about this series, Im just not motivated to race by myself for 15 laps, which was the case.
Sorry about our team performance Evan, I'll do my best to close out races for the remainder of the championship.
Meantime, DLC is out at 5 this evening, was thinking we could do a couple of 10 lappers with no tyre deg to test out the cars, see which ones are good and which ones aren't. I'm happy to host the room, let me know.

If you kept with it you would have probably beaten me mate.
With close to 40 seconds per pitstop I knew it would be tight to pull off a 2 stopper. In the end with my dismal performance on worn tyres late in the race I probably would have been better off stopping twice.
Not much to report from me this race. I raced pretty much the whole race alone, slowly loosing ground to the top 2 guys while my tyres turned to mush.
This would have to be my least favourite track in GT and as such I just have no real pace on it. I got lucky in qualify but my race pace was no where. Was just way to hard on my fronts and I couldnt hold on to Stigy. Great win mate
