Open to Australia and New Zealand ONLY.

A new season begins on the 7th of May 2012. Details below.

SeriesQualifier.png

The qualifier will be held to sort each driver out into their respective Tiers (see Rules section).

Each driver is given 5 laps to set their best time around the track. The 5 laps are taken in 1 go. Once you enter the track (when prompted) you will begin your 5 consecutive laps to set your best time. Once your 5 laps are competed your best time will be recorded and you will be advised to exit the track for the next driver.

A maximum of 2 drivers will be on the track at the same time during the qualifier to ensure each driver has enough room to set their best time without distraction.

Day: 30th April - 2nd May

Qualifier Ends: 10:00pm (Sydney Time)

Laps: 5 Laps per driver

Driver Aids: All OFF except ABS
Tyre Limit: Racing Softs

Failure to comply results in a maximum point deduction of -15pts

BallastPenalties.png

A driver that consistently wins race after race will become subject to an increased ballast.

Example:
- Driver A wins round 1 and 2
- Ballast of XX applies to Driver A for Round 3 and remains for the entire series
- If Driver A continues to win another 2 rounds in a row then a further increase of ballast will be applied

This is to ensure closer racing for all and provide more driver strategies.

OvertakingRules.png

Now the rules for this is simple. The car in front has the right of way and ownership of the racing line.
The car behind must wait to overtake and not muscle the car infront off the racing line.

PitWindow.png

Pit lane opens at the end of lap 5 for any tyre grade change and closes with 5 laps to go for your final tyre grade change. You cannot change to any other tyre grade until the end of lap 5.

Note: If you receive damage on lap 1-4 that needs to be repaired via pits you CANNOT change to any other tyre grade until end of lap 5. You must stay on your chosen qualifying tyre.

Example; You receive damage on lap 3 and need to pit. You must stay on your chosen qualifying tyre.

All drivers start the race on their chosen qualifying tyre.

TyreRegulations-1.png

This series will incorporate a new Tyre system to bring another element of strategy to the racing.
Make sure you familiarize yourself with these rules.

The tyre limit is now open. Racing Hard, Mediums & Softs are available for use during a 'racing weekend'.
A racing weekend consists of Qualifying and Racing. However there are limits to how you use these tyres.
Everyone has an unlimited set of Soft/Medium/Hard racing tyres (NO MIXING SETS, i.e Softs on front and hards on rear).

At the start of the racing weekend you will need to decide which tyre you qualify on.
Once you have chosen your qualifying tyre you MUST stick to that tyre.
You CANNOT change to a different set of tyres during that qualifying session.
You will also start the race on your qualifying tyre.
Now here is the important part. ALL TYRE GRADES MUST BE USED DURING A RACING WEEKEND.

Here is an example;

Example 1
Driver A qualifies on Racing Softs
Driver A starts race on Racing Softs
Driver A must use minimum of 1 set of Racing Mediums and Hards during the race

Example 2
Driver B qualifies on Racing Hards
Driver B starts race on Racing Hards
Driver B must use a minimum of 1 set of Racing Mediums and Softs during the race

Example 3
Driver C qualifies on Racing Mediums
Driver C starts race on Racing Mediums
Driver C must use a minimum of 1 set of Racing Hards and Softs during the race

Stewards will make a note of each drivers tyres and penalties will be handed down if you fail to comply.
Penalties can vary from warnings, point deductions and to disqualifications.

TierSystem.png

To ensure closer racing all around i have implemented a 3 tier system.
The way the system will work is by restricting tiers to certain cars. See below;

Tier 1
Autobacs ARTA GARAIYA '08 (Stock/94% Power Limiter)
Lexus WEDSPORT IS350 '08 (Stage 3 Engine/93% Power Limiter)
Toyota SUPERAUTOBACS APEX MR-S '00 (Stock)

Tier 2
Autobacs ARTA GARAIYA '08 (Stock/94% Power Limiter)
Lexus WEDSPORT IS350 '08 (Stage 3 Engine/93% Power Limiter)
Toyota SUPERAUTOBACS APEX MR-S '00 (Stock)
Subaru CUSCO DUNLOP IMPREZA '08 (Stage 2 Turbo/94% Power Limiter)
Subaru CUSCO ADVAN IMPREZA '03 (Stage 3 Turbo/85% Power Limiter)

Tier 3
Autobacs ARTA GARAIYA '08 (Stock/94% Power Limiter)
Lexus WEDSPORT IS350 '08 (Stage 3 Engine/93% Power Limiter)
Toyota SUPERAUTOBACS APEX MR-S '00 (Stock)
Subaru CUSCO DUNLOP IMPREZA '08 (Stage 2 Turbo/94% Power Limiter)
Subaru CUSCO ADVAN IMPREZA '03 (Stage 3 Turbo/85% Power Limiter)
RE Amemiya ASPARADRINK RX7 '06 (Stock)
Toyota WEDSPORT CELICA '03 (Stock)

Once you know your Tier (via the series quailifer) you can then begin car selection and pre-season testing.

All cars listed above are available for use in the series. HOWEVER there is a 3 car limit.
No more then 3 drivers can use the same car.

Ah right now that I see the qualifier information it's all clear. Can't wait to run it sounds like fun! Clever time trial to sort the drivership.

Well the series is looking great Oni, looking forward to getting her rolling.

Guess I'll focus on maybe getting one of the T3 cars for now lol, don't know how I'll shape up against you lot.

Anyway, off to a friends house, see you all around.

I have better luck on wednesday's nights with connection. So this might benefit me even more. And hopefully i can finish every race.

We've run a gt300 series before and it was successful, but the drivers in our series have advanced further so it should be closer again

that be a good idea MrT.

Neg - when would you be free to do some pre-season testing. To make sure your connection is stable with the other drivers in the series and to get an understanding of your pace.

MrT (mrtaital) and Jazza (jasr73) normally have rooms running every night of the week for little muck around races. You can hit them up or myself if you see us online. Be sure to add the 3 of us to your friends list.

For everyone else.. well you know the drill haha.

Sounds good. I'll add you three straight away.

I'll most likely be available come Sunday, then can be on till Thursday most nights. See you around.

What a fake photo haha, that's a formula 3 or fake F1 at best. Morons

Of course its fake you nob.
Still, i would be up for 10 laps in a single seater of some description... just gonna have to find a sim with eastern creek in it to learn the track before showing up..

I've worked every current point at eastern creek and have seen hundreds of lines through each corner.

I reckon I got a good idea of a line there

Sweet. I'll put you down as a wildcard Rusty.

That's fine. A few of us should be on Sunday until F1 starts so hopefully we catch you then. Otherwise Tuesday-Thursday should be good too. This Monday night is our final race in the V12 series so we wouldn't be able to do any connection/pace testing until late at night (after the race).

^^^

And also ONE shows the F1 in true HD. There's a lot to say about the spectacle of the sport.

It's surprising how little is actually shown in true HD.

Hey oni, is there a way you and cact could work together on the 2nd post of this thread to make a another link or something to all his graphs? maybe he could send them to you once he is done, then they can all be piled into one section, would be a good addition to your threads :)

That is easy done. I can't add another space in the OP but ill add it to the Championship Standings post below the OP.

Cact are you able to combine or use 1 pdf for all details via different sheets instead of doing a separate spreadsheet per race. This will give everyone 1 link they can check weekly to see the stats.

My suggestion would be to keep it similar to how you have it now. One for fastest laps, 1 for championship points graph and finally 1 for all the round statistics. Let me know what suits you as i'll be just adding the link.
