Oval Track B-Spec issues

Hi all,

My Bob seems to like braking too hard into the corners at Daytona, despite being in an overpowered car he will often come dead last, is there any setup that reduces this or is it simply that Bob needs a higher level? He is currently level 9 competing in level 11 races.

I found that a hot driver is much better for these races than a cool one.
You also need to constantly hit the increase pace command - don't worry they never seem to crash!

Hi all,

I know, right? My bob keeps braking on the Oval track in the Truck Event in the Amateur Hall, making the AI zoom pass him easily :grumpy:

If with reduced brake bias he still does it , race him in other events and raise his class more then come back and try ! Maybe he just needs more class for that race. If he still does it then ,then buy him a torch and ask him to turn the stadiums lights out when he finishes.

I gave up on this until Level 30. At Level 22 (I think?), if Bob could ever get in the lead (dubious) he'd smash into the tail of the first car he lapped and was passed again. I left the frustration behind for awhile, increased his experience, and aced it hands-off later on.

Even at level 11 with the brake trick mentioned here he still does it. Just not as bad. It's true that a more aggressive driver will do much better at this though.

The driver level matters a bit as well. As a test we tried it 3 times with 3 different drivers all similar but different classes. In all 3 cases the drivers were held to full red the entire race by spamming pace up as needed.

1: Level 16 driver won by less than 1/2 second
2: Level 22 driver won by over 1 second
3: Level 33 driver won by over 3 seconds

In all cases Bob was driving the same setup I use myself.

Edit Forgot to mention the tests were in the Nascar event on Daytona.

For oval races just hire and fire. A new hot driver will lap indy and daytona much quicker than a seasoned cool driver
