Yup. My home PC is about to be replaced, so I did some minor things to it, ie check RAM, CPU, HDD, 3 1/2 Floppy, and CD-ROM and give the whole thing a good clean.

Anyway, I got playing around with the jumper switches just trying out different combinations. I couldn't find out how to overclock the thing as the speed would either fall or remain the same.

Anyhow, on the 15th attempt, I got it - 266MHz -> 290MHz. I'm so proud. :D

You know there's no better feeling than that of having overclocked your first computer... :D

Don't you overclock through the BIOS?

Yeah as Andy said, only on the fancy boards.

I got playing with the DIP switches and that did it, bugger the jumpers in my opinion. :dopey:

Try and use it for more than 5mins, I bet it becomes unstable. You can overclock it too much to the point where it will get too hot and refuse to work. Or **** up the processor.
Meh 1ghz > 1.2ghz that's a whole 200mhz, just becuse im'a m@d TyT3 ovAclock@ y0111!11

Meh, would you rather I had an Avatar of a Vauxhall?
Seriously, Ford makes better cars than the GM equivalent (Vauxhall) in the UK.

Also, you spelt Windows 98 wrong in your signature.

Yes I'd rather have a Vauxhall. Actually, I'll have that Vauxhall subsidiary's car, the Opel Astra... :drool:

Prove it. :P

"Welcome to Windows 98! The Windows 98 Operating System will make your computer more powerful, user friendly and better working. The Windoes 98 Operating System is easy to install..." Whoever said this needs a kick up the arse.

Err, that car has nothing to do with Vauxhall, if your talking about the Opel Extreme concept. I think it has more to do with the Opel Astra DTM machines, which have very little to do with Vauxhall, who can only make good cars with the help of lotus. A Vauxhall astra is a mediocre car.
