Overtaking Penalties?

Hi,

At times I've seen penalties for overtaking or cutting the track requiring you to move back to a certain position in the race. But I never see that online.

What is it and how do you turn it on online?

Also, if I create a race online, what settings should I use to encourage a clean race but not to scare away people?

Go into Rules and Regulations.
Turn all penalties on.
(They should be on by default with the ATP set to 5)

Encouraging a clean race and chasing racers away...

Penalties help but to me the Realism settings are what deter.

If you force interior view, manual gearing or not allow traction control people (for some reason) just leave.
Weather does the same, load up a lobby with heavy rain or snow you'll be doing laps alone.

If you want 1000 racers to break down your lobbies door, set up GT3 @monza in the sunshine with every aid available.
