As much as I'm proud for Pacquiao (why wouldn't I be? I'm Filipino!), I got the feeling that it just wasn't a legitimate victory. It's like one of those moments where the teacher decides to be nice to a student who's on a borderline C+/B- and ends up giving the student a B-, you know. You want to be happy for Pac, but the joy of the win is numbed a bit when you take a look at the shots Marquez landed tonight.

A win is a win is a win, though.

But yeah, Pac won but there are some who thought the true victor was Marquez, especially my mom. I can't say my opinion yet, I have to watch the fight's replays for myself lol.

The 116-112 scorecard is a bit hard to swallow. Manny maybe won it by 115-113, draw-draw... but if he hadn't gone all aggro at the end of the fight, he would have lost it.

In the end... he did just enough... landed more power punches. Landed more shots. But Marquez seemed more effective in the middle of the fight.

The booing for Manny is because Marquez sold his punches better. Threw more combos (though they didn't all hit) and his power punches seemed to shake Manny more. But in the end, Manny won by the numbers, even though Marquez had more style and technique.

Unsatisfying. Should have ended in someone getting knocked down. Conspiracy theorists have it that Manny was playing soft to entice Mayweather to come out and fight him... personally, I think that it's a case of Marquez just doing a bang-up job in the ring.

This fight is the reason my grandma didn't like Pacquiao. If she were still alive to see this fight, she would've called it a POS. The only way she would root for Pacquiao would have been if he were fighting Mayweather.
