paddle shifters don't work for L1 and R1 with DFGT wheel

Any one else had this issue? When browsing car parts or racing suits no button works for L1 and R1 to change views or color.

The button configuration for the DFGT says the paddle shifters are supposed to be the buttons.

Any help?

It's surprisingly the same for the T500 despite it being the "official" wheel.

The fix for this is to turn a controller on, hit L1/R1, turn controller off.

After that the wheel will be recognized for those buttons in the menu. That's how I've done it and it's always worked for me that way.

Yep same here with a Dfgt.

I thought it was my controller, but obviously they forgot the menu button mapping on these screens.

Also affects the race entry screens while you are at a track.

I've noticed that as well. Although it has worked once or twice, but that was when the DS3 was switched on.

Yep not working with the CSR Elite either though I did have them working at one point on the dealership screens, not sure if they are working now or not but after one of the updates they started to work at least there. Yesterday I was trying to buy a race suit and had to use the controller to go through the colors so either it just works in the dealer or the next patch stopped it from working again

Same problem with my G27. They work great in-race but it seems they can't be used in the menu. Quite annoying when I want to put a boy kit on my car: I have to set the DS3 to first controller to change the view.

BTW, it has to be done every time you play the game. I know it's annoying, but it's the only way it will work until it's fixed by PD.

I always play with the DS3 on, much easier to navigate menus then with the temperamental DFGT D-pad, and I leave it on charge with my long charge lead

well i usually have the controller in the first port in case i want to take photos. But first impulse everywhere else is the wheel.

This sort of issue (and photo mode being unusable) is why I have a normal controller reassigned to Slot 1 beside me.

Has to be controller 1.

Controller 1, press L1 and/or R1 and then switch the controller OFF. Don't change to controller 2 as that won't work.
