paint chips?

Call me dumb but are paint chips what you get gifted in seasonal races etc and if so where do you go to get them cause i used the matt pink colour and it stung me 8000 creds.

Paint chips are given when you buy a car that has a named colour (some exceptions do apply) and when you win a seasonal event.

All paint chips are infinitely usable when you receive them, but a the cost of credits. The cost varies by finish from Solid to Chrome.

Well thanks for clearing that up, I thought I was a dumbo. I just thought that if you are given them ie as a gift they should be free.

In GT5 you could win paint chips, and could get them from cars in the same way, but they got used up and then you had to buy a car again for that paint chip.

It's an improvement, but some of the paints are expensive.

And I guess it makes the more special paintchips - chrome/matte - more special when you do apply them.

I must say that matt pink looks not to bad on my vw scirocco ha ha

I do like matte pink. I've got lots of pink paints with the Anniversary Edition though as well as Moulin Rouge from the Plymouth's so it doesn't get used as much.
