MegaJoshh-
I've looked a little through the forums and stuff, but I've not too much time :scared:

But today, I tried to Re-Purchase the paint collection because I've used all my old GT paints, but it wouldn't let me. Is there any way to Re-Purchase/Download all the Paint DLC again?:nervous:

Yeah tried that myself. Sorry to say, no joy. I would gladly have paid money for them again.

@PD your missing making money here.

The paint pack should've at least been re-useable with the family upgrade.

I have a method to avoid using up my DLC paint chips. It's not new but not everyone uses the search function.

1. Make a secondary account.
2. Make a back up of your primary save before painting the car.
3. Paint the car on the primary account and send it to the secondary account.
4. Restore backup of the primary save.
5. Send the car back from your secondary account to your primary account.
6. Enjoy infinite DLC paint.

:dopey:

Thats good and all, but you're waisting 2 trading days just to get a painted car back on your main. Hell, I could paint a real car and be driving it faster than that, lol. Seriously tho, I agree that these paints should be reusable once you buy them or at least make them available again for the people that want them.

^ In your not-so-humble opinion.

It's a pretty far out-there opinion if you think that not only charging people for paint chips as a paid boondoggle on GT5's crappy customization system, but to make them all one-time use and force you to rebuy them if you want more than one, was a good idea.

Yeah it's not ideal for traders, but not everyone can spend $2 on paint every time their favourite colour runs out. 👍

What I don't get is why are they removing DLC?

And while I will not defend this "rebuying paint to get more" BS, I'm not liking how this was removed without warning. Not a good sign. Hopefully, PD's not responsible but I won't be surprised if they are. This won't be the first time PD did something like this.

I don't think there's any malicious intent behind it, or that PD is (strictly speaking) to blame. I just don't think Sony was actually prepared for the new PSN Store when they rolled it out.

I agree. Maybe they can do something like Forza where you have an unlimited paint supply. They have some pretty cool color-changing paint chips, all free. I myself think its bs for making us pay for paint chips in the first place. Hopefully next time they do things alittle bit differently.

FIFY. Paint chips are ridiculous and unrealistic on their own, one time use DLC chips are even more ridiculous.

In parts, Simon... its more realistic than a regular "paint selector" where you can use any color possible in an easy way that exists in most games.

Because most of time, in real life you go to a paint shop and choose: "I want my car painted in that Orange from Lamborghini, or I want it painted Imola Yellow from Audi", then the guy or you go to a shop and find the color code/name for it and buy the paint. Of course you can still ask for them to develop a tone specially for you but that's not the norm and it doesn't happen as frequent as the first example I wrote about... at least its how I see things working on most places.

The most ridiculous part imho it's the fact that you need to earn the paint... you should be able to buy any of them at anytime in a "paint shop". (And of course, give us a paint mixer too, like all other games have it, but in the case of a paint shop, the custom color should be more expensive)

Indeed but that's just taking out the tiresome, time consuming part that isn't needed in a game. You can, with time and money paint any car in pretty much any colour you like in the real world, there is no reason a game shouldn't also be the same without the waiting. I mean you can't do the spray job in 10 seconds with no preparation to the car but again it's a game. Colour wheels have been in games for years because they're easy to use and quick. PD decided to go the pokemon route though.

You didn't fix anything for me, I meant to say Forza. What, I can't mention another game by name without everyone having a heartattack. Are we not all adults here or what. I don't recall anything in the AUP about this. Simon, if you have a problem with what I post, use the report button please, its not up to you to correct my posts.

Calm down, I didn't mean it like that, my correction was meant in humour in that it isn't just Forza that gets it right with a colour wheel, pretty much every other game does the same thing because it's logical and makes sense. I wasn't bashing Forza, I was meaning GT are the only modern car games that doesn't get it right.

And Polyphony's convoluted delivery system. Removing DLC dumb. Not having reusable paint we purchased is asinine.

I'm calm. Next time use a humor smiley or something then, lol. I for sure didn't see any humor in your post. All I saw was somebody trying to act like a mod or something. Anyways, if that was your intention, then no harm. Moving on...
