Hi

I hope this is the correct forum to post this in . I was wondering if any of you could help with advising me on what photo/picture editor behaves most like Paunt Shop Pro 6/7. I only need to use it for a week or so at work so if there are any shareware products out there I would love to know. I especially liked the layer possibilities PSP offered .

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I'm assuming your PSP trial ran out? :)

I'm pretty sure Adobe lets you download an evaluation version of Photoshop 7.0, which is the top of the line editing program at the moment.

Yes, and Photoshop has a much better layering system than PSP7. Not too mention a smoother, nicer look. :D

Ulead PhotoImpact 8 was rated the best budget image editor of 2002 in PCUser magazine. I am sure they will let you download an evaluation copy of it.

Yes they do, but it will take you more than a week to work out even the basics of Photoshop.

If PSP is excellent (to you - Pek2) than Photoshop is definately overkill. Every image editor just about should have a layering option, if not they obviously suck.

Cheers guys

I have tried Photoshop before and found it a bit overkill for my needs. I am not really doing anything especially difficult it was just I was used to PSP and wanted something similar.

I got PhotoImpact and it seems to be OK actually. I dont really know my way around these things that well and PhotoImpact seems relatively simple.

Cheers for the help
