Pakistan police tear gas cartoon protesters near embassies (AFP)

It's a cartoon. Freaking get over it. Don't watch it if you don't like it. I thought everyone, besides me, in America dwelled on annoying crap, but I guess it's a world epidemic.
 
I have no sympathy for these people anymore. Theres nothing left in me to want to try and understand them and see their point of view or to feel any pity for them. I've decided their point of view is bull**** and everything that they say is bull****. And it's them who've made me take that view.
 
If that's serious, I'm with you. But if it's pure sarcasm, I'm with you.
 
Quite serious, I did have a different stance a while back, but the more I hear about them the less I care about their point of view and what they want. Why should I care, they don't care about mine, they just want to blow me up.
 
I know a few Arabic people, they are starteing to fill my neighborhood. (They hate Jews, by the way, I mean shoot 'em up type hate.) But, anyway, I don't like anybody in general who hides themselves in their house and won't ever talk to you, no matter who they are. They kids are fine, they speak like me, they aren't good with the history or anyhing, but they're alright. The problem is the people over seas, in their own countries. They're too scared to help us with the terrorists so we think they don't give a crap. I really don't know if they want our help or not.

That's so ignorant. The muslims have as much of a right to protest as the danish have to free speech. Violence is always bad, though.

Good muslims wouldn't burn stuff and wreak havoc. My friend always gets so offended by "his own people's" actions and what is seen in the news all the time. Remember, these are like 500 of the millions of those practicing islam around the world.

There's a huge difference between an angry muslim and radical anarchaic terrorists using religion to attempt to justify themselves and their actions.
 
Doesn't it suck how the negative always overpowers the positive? That applies to just about everything in this world, too.

I'm not talking about muslims, I know loads of decent muslims, I never mentioned anything so general. I'm talking about the extremists ie thoes that have been burning emassey's ect and the tag along's, like the ones going around London threatening us over something that we have nothing to do with. They can all **** off. There plenty of muslims I know that think similar, it's not an anti-muslim view in any way. I'm not generalising an entire race of people in one breif post.

They have a right to protest danish free speech. But that doesn't mean it isn't stupid, or that we have to have sympathy for them.

Yes, the cartoon doesn't make them look good, but at the same time, anybody that is not a Muslim understands that it is a cartoon, it is a joke, and no, we dont all think there are bombs in all of the Muslims turbins. And some of those who are protesting worry that it is going to tarnish the image of their religion. Well sorry, Al Qaeda already did that tenfold. Not like the cartoon is gonna make the world's view any different. Stop trying to blame the rest of the world for the twisted view of your religion, in this case a few of your own are to blame. A few bad apples may have spoiled a whole bunch in some peoples eyes (read: not my own).


I also understand it is considered an extreme disrespect to show any images of Muhammed. But resorting to rioting...thats a little much.


*This is just my take on the situation, not trying to argue or debate anything that was already posted, but if I did then so be it. Just wanted to post what I thought. I dont hate muslims, and certainly dont hold the actions of a few against all of them.



One thing I saw that was funny on the news, was that a Muslim that actually worked at one of the Embassies or something like that, he actually said "They should just shut up about it."

Let me get this straight, the US has a bounty on a terrorist that organized and exectuted attack plans that killed thousands of innocent US citizens, for no reason. But, because he is one of your own, that makes it ok for you to offer a bounty to kill someone who made an offensive drawing? :rolleyes:

That's becaue they get crazier and more insane every day. I wish the good Muslims would drop the peace thing and start kicking a.ss, taking out the bad terrorist-Muslim-type people. Just remember, the same way all white people all have the recessive redneck gene, Arab people all have the insane gene, they just need an AK to help bring it out.

I agree, maybe not with the "taking them out", but the muslims that do not agree with these actions should be speaking out, and maybe show some support for actions to end this insane behavior. In fact, Im sure many already are, but its not shocking, terrible news so it doesnt get covered.

Its a Catch 22 situation for the good Muslims, it really is. Don't say anything and people might think you agree, step up and say something and run the risk of being denounced by your own religion.

On BBC news they've been interviewing plenty of Muslims who've been voicing their concerns about the protests damaging non-muslim views of muslims and also saying that although the cartoons have annoyed them they're just ignoring them and going about their day to day lives.
 
Good, why don't they all do that? There has to be more good than bad, and that isn't happening.
