Pan Euro Championship A.I. horsepower ratings

Not too long ago I decided to conquer the Pan Euro Championship with a stock Lotus Motor Sport Elise. The point was to earn 200 A-spec in as many races as possible, and to see if it was possible to even win the championship with the little Elise. Well, I took pole in 3 of 5 races and took first in 3 of 5 races. Which races did I fail you ask? La Sarthe I and the 'Ring; pretty much as I expected.

However, what I did not expect is to have my Ruf 3400S and BMW M3 GTR thoroughly trounced by the field when I went back to pick up my remaining 400 A-spec points! After being thoroughly beaten multiple times I decided to do a little research: what sorts of cars am I actually racing against here? So, here is the (almost) complete line-up of A.I. opponents (NTSC), their race H.P. rating, and the difference between the stock "sell page" H.P. and what the car actually races with in the championship, listed in order from least increase to greatest:

Race H.P. in blue, increase in red
  1. Jaguar XJ220 516 (-26)
  2. Merc. E 55 474 (+5)
  3. Merc. SLR McLaren 622 (+6)
  4. BMW M5 506 (+7)
  5. Merc. SL 600 507 (+10)
  6. Merc. SL 65 616 (+13)
  7. Cizeta V16T 580 (+20)
  8. Aston Martin DB9 476 (+27)
  9. Merc. SL 55 497 (+28)
  10. Audi Nuvolari Quattro 599 (+38)
  11. Audi RS6 487 (+44)
  12. Pagani Zonda C12 470 (+82)
  13. Ruf BTR 473 (+105)
  14. TVR Tuscan Speed 6 474 (+115)
  15. BMW M3 CSL 476 (+121)
  16. TVR T350C 476 (+121)
  17. TVR Cerbera Speed 6 476 (+126)
  18. TVR Tamora 478 (+133)
  19. Lotus Esp. Sport 350 487 (+138)
  20. TVR Griffith 500 478 (+159)
  21. Lotus M. Sport Elise 483 (+283)
A 483 hp Motor Sport Elise? Are you serious P.D.??? The car only weighs 700 kg! And the Griffith 500 isn't much better. Some of the supercars really aren't that bad, but the cars that don't even need the hp increase are the ones that get it!

So, in conclusion my attempt to take a 200 hp stock M. Sport Elise into the Pan Euro Championship was not only ambitious but almost borderline stupidity! So, while you may not earn 200 A-spec in a 400 hp monster, you'll at least be on par with the rest of the field!

Use the "Preview Race" function.
When the replay starts it'll give you tyre and HP information for the car starting 6th on the grid.
Exit the preview and go in again, chances are it'll be a different lineup and a different car at the back, so you'll get another figure.
It's a tedious process, but one which works if you have the patience.

You can PM me for details in future too, I have access to a worksheet that has HP data for almost every AI car in every GT4 event which was compiled by a user that's no longer active here.

Figures! I had this sneaking suspicion in the back of my mind that someone may have already done all this H.P. checking.:) Still, it kind of irks me a bit that the field is so heavily modified!

Thanks for the heads-up Smallhorses, I may just be PM'ing you for some more info!
