After saving some pics to usb memory stick and storing them on my computer, I'm finding that Microsoft Paint will not open the images due to "Paint cannot read this file. This in not a valid bitmap, or it's format is not currently supported"

Is it possible PD did some sort of copyright protection?

Using MS Windows XP. I did "copy to" to try and create a bitmap of an image and that failed too.

Anyone else having issues? I was only looking to re-size the images for wallpapers and screen savers..

Thanks

I use Photoshop CS3 at work with Windows 7, and it gives me a "missing information" error when I try to open them. But they still open.

@aargod228

Use something with a little more 'power' than MS paint...

Any good freebie jpeg editor will do (google for one)

or the GIMP for photoshop like powers :)))

Gimp works great for me, and it helps too that it is completely free to download too.
