Hi Guys,
Im a new member and im only 16, but for GCSE im making a racing cockpit made from Aluminium and its based on the frame design of a Ariel Atom-

And i want to use the cockpit for my PS3 + also my PC.
Ive seen someone on here who has a TV with 3 HDMI leads and ones connected to the computer?!
I have a 32" LG HDTV with 2 HDMI outputs, does my PC have to be connected to a HDMI port and also.. how do i do it? What do i use? A normal HDMI cable? And where does that go to on the computer?!

I will try posting some pictures of my WIP but its in early stages at the moment and im only just started putting the side frames together.

So can anyone help me on how to get my PS3 + my PC working through one TV?
If that is possible.. :)

-Alex

If your pc Has a HDMI 'out' then you can conntect to the TV via HDMI. If your PC has a DVI then you can get a DVI to HDMI converter. If you PC has neither than you can connect to your TV via D-sub but this will only work if your TV has a D-sub input. (also known as ''PC input'')

Good luck with your project

Oh ok, excellent.
I've just done some scouting on eBay and luckily i do have DVI on my video card, so i'm going to buy myself a DVI - HDMI cable for £4.95 + P&P.
Which i though was really good as it is 5m long! And HDMI cables are so expensive.
But thanks for the help mate, and i will post my pics of my prject when its done on the racing cockpits section :)
👍

Yes you can connect your PS3 and PC on one LCD tv.

To connect your pc to your tv you need this cable:

DVI-D to HDMI:

don't forget, by using this cable you wont have sound. You need to connect your PC to your tv with this cable:

To connect your PS3 to your TV you need this cable:

HDMI to HDMI

When you want to switch between your PS3 and PC, you need the right menu on your tv that makes it possible to choose between the PS3 and the PC.

Let's say that you have connected your PS3 to the HDMI port number 5 on your tv, you need to choose HDMI port number 5 in the appropriate menu on your tv. If you have connected the PC to the HDMI port number 4 on your tv, you need to choose the HDMI port number 4 in the appropriate menu on your tv
