Peculiar redline RPM on Spoon S2000 Race Car...

Is this normal in this car? Redline RPM is apparently at 9000RPM, yet can accelerate all the way to 12,000RPM before bouncing on the limiter.

Now it might just be the way the tranny's been set up by Spoon in real life, but I just found that acceleration to 12,000, which is 3,000RPM past redline, extremely odd.

My S2000 has had the engine and chassis rebuilt, and the oil changed today.

Cheers if anyone can explain this!

Check the power band graphic on the car set up.

If the engine delivers enough power after the marked redline, then stick to the later shifting.

Well it accelerates well until it starts bouncing off the limiter. So I'm quite happy with shifting at 12k rather than 9. Just confuses me as to why redline is at 9k and the ideal shift point is 12k, unless I'm missing something.
