Peerless Cars was a small British car manufacturer that was only active for a few years in the late 1950s, with its sole product being the GT, of which about 325 units were made.

As you can imagine, it’s a quite exotic car, so owning one means you’re likely to never see the same model driven by anyone else.

While borrowing its sporting bloodline and striking design from a Ferrari 250GT it shares many components with the Aston Martin DB4. The lightweight-racing body is one of the earliest production all-composite shells and is supported by a tubular space- “birdcage” frame.

The Peerless GT is a coupé with 2 doors and a front mounted engine which delivers its power to the rear wheels.
Its 4 cylinder, overhead valve naturally aspirated powerplant has 2 valves per cylinder and a displacement of 2 litres. For this model it develops power and torque figures of 100 bhp (101 PS/75 kW) at 5000 rpm and 160 Nm (118 lbft/16.3 kgm) at 3000 rpm respectively.
The engine supplies its power through to the wheels by means of a 4 speed manual with overdrive gearbox.
It weighs a stated 953 kg.

Back when you could have ridiculously ambitious car company names without being challenged.
