Perfect Launch?

Does anyone know what it takes to get a perfect launch every time? Is it different for each car? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Also I've noticed that when I get a perfect launch I appear to come out of the gate slower than just mashing the accelerator down on the countdown. Anyone know if this is actually true or just my mind playing tricks on me?

It's different for every car. Just gotta time it right so you mash it right at the start when the N is green.

PS. Prefect Launch always makes your car go faster off the line then just mashing it full throttle until the race starts.

Also, while the start is counting down, quickly shifting into 1st gear before taking off can help you get off quickly, especially in RWD cars.

If you use and AWD car don't do the perfect start thing. Just put it in 1st while on the line and just rev the hell out of it. When the light turns green, your car basically does a 9000rpm clutch drop and you pass everyone before the first turn. Since its not real life you don't have to worry about breaking anything :)

I usually shift into first gear when the lights are red... rev up to the perfect rev (when the gear indicator turns green) and keep it there until the lights turn green then I imediatly floor it until I drill a hole in the ground and that usualy does the trick...

Not only is perfect start different for each car, it varies with the upgrades. If you swap the engine, or upgrade components, you'll find the perfect start has changed.

On another note, what is the most perfect start. I have never gotten above 39 points - I'm using a DS3 controller, so it is difficult to keep the throttle that steady.

^ this lmao.

I do that with my (a lot of HP) skyline, the thing just flies past every one off the line. Keeping 1st place is another story.

I've gotten 40 points twice today with the DFGT and didn't know how. That's why I started this thread

Its great to do online with the AWD Scion tc but the downside is that once you get ahead of everybody, you get banzai'd by some noobs driving fully modified Lamborghinis that don't know how to drive them since they're free in the limited edition. I just end up getting flipped at the first corner by them going under me. I get them back in the next corner though :D

I hate those damn gamers, and the ones (prob the same people) that shoot their own team mates :grumpy:

usually i keep it in mid rev and than spam the small Nitro to get immediatly in front and have my clean race when i need one.
