Ok not sure if there is already one of these up but i can't see one anywhere so i though i'd create one.

Right here's the deal there are so many people who play GT5 who hate the 1 car per day ban for various reasons, however we all know that Polyphony are not going to get rid of it completely. So i Reckon if we can get around 10,000 people to sign this petition and I send it off to Polyphony then we may be able to get them to increase the limit to 2 or 3 cars per day which would make it a lot easier to trade cars, especially for people with more then one user on a PS3.

So this petition is basically to get Polyphony to change the limit from 1 car per day to 2-3 cars per day. So please sign. I will update this first post every couple of days if i can with a list of who has signed so far.

By The Way, Moderators if this is in the wrong place or not suitable to be on here then please just let me know and then remove it, please don't ban me.

Why would they want to change it back? If you want to have the facility to trade 2 or more times per day.
Buy more ps3's...smart deal from PD and Sony :)

Because not everyone has £1000 to spend on 3 PS3's for the whole family and it would b a pretty much waste of money really wouldn't it.

They changed it simply because the system was abused with the duplication glitch, it wont change back.

i know why they changed it but this really harms people who genuinely have more then 1 user on their PS3 and surly changing it to 2 or 3 per day wouldn't harm that much as it would still stop people from duping loads, obviously people would still dupe but not as much.

oh ok sorry should i move it somewhere else??? i just thought cos this is where most people go to trade that most people would see it and sign it lol.
I have no idea where it should go, but l'm thinking that because it's not directly trade-related it should go in the vanilla GT5 forum. Don't quote me on it, though.

Yeah it is still a commercial company, they want to earn every penny you make.
It was quite easy in the beginning with multiple accounts on a single ps3.
And when they blocked that, they received a mass flood of complains about brothers that had to fight over who was allowed to trade that day etc.
Seems PD didn't care about that either :(

I don't really agree about the duping reason, because that you can still do.
IMO they changed it to extend the lifespan of collecting all cars.
They made the mistake with A-spec, they corrected it for trading 👍

Well, I for one will sign it.

I don't think it will make a difference, I'm sorry... However, I do feel that PD should stop worrying about the offline "cheating". Let people play the game the way they want to play. Some exploits actually make a game more fun, so when they're there, there is no real reason to patch it.

Online should have PD's (and every developer's) full priority though when it comes to patching exploits. It is there where the real 'damage' is done.

Anywhoooo, I don't play enough anymore to really care about this, but I will sign your petition, because I do agree the game would be more fun if it wasn't there.

Fair enough. most companies like that don't seem to care which i think is really disgusting but i guess thats just business to them.

You think this thread will get around 10,000 views and everyone will agree with you?

I can always hope lol :)

Thank you, every little helps, you never know we may get 10,000 :D and it may work :D it may take a while but if we achieve it that we can all feel proud of ourselves :D

PD will not do anything for trading. GT5 does not have a trade system. It has a Gift system. So PD would need to change the Gift system so that people could use it for a reason it was not intended.

This. But nobody deliberately WANTS to understand it.

It is Gifting. Not Trading. You can Gift one car with value less than 1 million credits to one of your Friends per day. In addition, you can Gift one ticket (despite the level) to one of your friends per day.

Same goes for other type of items, limited to 5 items per day.

If PD wanted that anything becomes "Tradable" than Gift would be renamed as "Trade", in the same way how we could actually TRADE cars in past Gran Turismo games.

However, in the Trades of the Past™ there was a catch: You could not EXPLOIT the Trade feature in way that you get your *traded* car back once traded through loophole with backup. Once traded, car would be ERASED PERMANENTLY from your Memory Card garage and there was no "loophole" to get it back on your save together with the newly received car.

And current Save Backup feature (be blessed forever) is clearly a damn big loophole for any kind of "Trading". Since having actual backup option is much more important than trading, *trading* functionality just can't be justified, because loophole violates the essential principe of trading > where owner can't revert the traded good infinitely if the good have actually being *traded*.

Only way to establish a legitimate Trading would be through loss of backup feature which would clearly be a lunacy.

Gift limit should remain as it is.

Credits are basically meaningless now with the current seasonal events yielding 1.5 million for 7 laps thanks to performance deficit bonus. Even more if you have log in bonus!
This makes the gift value cap seem a bit pointless to me.

Cars are only valuable if they're expensive or rare, and with credits so easy to make, the ocd has meant they're not even that rare, not to mention how long people have had the game has meant that the rare cars have all come around the ucd plenty of times.

Special paints are the only "rare" thing for most normal players that don't "duplicate" them.

Yea i think if PD did install an online trade system into the game that would work as well, and have it so that only cars that had a certain difference between their PP values could b traded for example a max PP diff of 150 or something.

This. But nobody deliberately WANTS to understand it.

I am pretty sure people understand it. It just that in some cases, an exploit is not such a bad thing. On PC, pretty much all games have cheats. Some people play fair, some cheat like crazy and like their game that way.

In 'Oblivion' on PS3 there used to be an exploit one could use to copy items. This made me play the game a lot more as some items I did not enjoy farming for could be copied. I'm pretty sure I would've quit the game out of boredom a lot earlier if it hadn't been there.

For the sake of having a proper system I agree. For the sake of fun I am not so sure. Why change something that doesn't hurt anyone, yet gives some people some extra enjoyment. Ofcourse they won't change it back anyway.
Having said that, I didn't use the exploit much... maybe once or twice (just so you know it isn't a selfish point of view).

With credits being easy to come by, as stated above by Sinbad, not having the exploit is not such a big problem though.

To be honest, whether it's called gifting or trading is mostly irrelevant regarding the number (not the initial intention I'll agree), I have sometimes received more than one gift from one person on my birthday. ;)

I can understand there being a certain limit for technical reasons but even PD should've realised this gift-function would obviously be used for trading.
I don't really mind it being one car each 24 hours right now, just as I wouldn't mind it being without any limit whatsoever, but whether it's called gifting or trading has nothing to do with it aside from making clear what the original intention is (which seems a bit churlish really).

If the credits are so easy to get, get them and buy the car yourself! Stop moaning on the internet and do seasonals!!

I think this is a viable discussion. Whether or not the cars are easy to get is not very relevant to the discussion for me.
For me it is interesting to see the points of view on how developers should treat exploits.
To each his/her own ofcourse. But your comment doesn't really contribute to anything.

Good idea, OP. But trying to get 10,000 people (which is 1+1+1+1+1 x ten THOUSAND :P) to sign it will be:

Mission Impossible 5

Good luck lad

If they did change it, they would also get rid of the back up on USB stick to eliminate duping now we have the auto-back up. Anyway, it would definitely be a good idea because I have a backlog of around 20 cars to send at the moment.

If people just played the game as PD intended rath than getting into trading schedules and all the other ridiculous stuff in the marketplace there wouldn't be an issue.

850 cars only traded around 5 of them all the others were earnt . Bit to late in GT5 for thease request's if they cannot deliver there DLC on time or implement anything new . Not worth effort. Just earn your cars

yea i have 1073 cars and earned 1070 of them but i still think that the limit should b expanded a little bit :)
