Photo Mode...

Sorry to be so chatty, but I was hoping someone had come across a fix for this somewhere...

When I take a photo in Shift, the game screen tells me that it uploaded to EA OK, but when I go to MYNFS and look in my photo gallery there's nothing there.

I must've sent a dozen snapshots off into the wild blue ether never to be seen again... rather annoying. I have checked the EA boards on this and others seem to have the same problem, but the community is not overly helpful there and many questions don't get answered.
Anyone hear of a solution to this anywhere?

I'm replying to myself... not a good sign...

Anyway... the photos now are showing up on MYNFS! Even some of my older ones!

As far as I can tell all I did was, shutdown my PS3 & turn off the power. Then switch it back on and get into NFS:S. (I thought that only worked with Windows?!)

Anyway... problem solved...👍

I had tried the photomode several weeks back. I had checked my NFS page yesterday and they were gone but had been there previously. Probably server maintenance is why they did not show up for you.

Well, the joke's on me really... When I tried to retrieve the photos from NFS they looked blue shifted...



But the thumbnail looks just fine!

Is your resolution 1080p or i ?
Because it happens to me too and it's rather annoying.
EA doesn't seems to understand that a PS3 has a hard drive, you know the thing that we can save folders in it, but too simple. Let's force people to go on our site. Way to go EA.... 👍

and I agree... why do they require us jump through so many hoops just to take a tiny snapshot of our painfully edited cyber cars.

I think it does that because the maximum resolution is 720P (In 2009, WTH EA). COD 4 supports 1080P and it's two years old.

If you get the blue tint on a downloaded pic, there's always the 'Print Screen' Key + photoshop/crop =)

It's actually more than just a blue tint... this is what happens when I copy the screen


The Mazda looks OK blue... but the car is Red! See thumbnail below...




The Porsche is also dark red...


Unfortunately to fix this into Photoshop is not simple as all the colors seem shifted (no pun intended).
This game has the most bizzare problems!!

Import it into Paint and then save as a BMP.

That are today's games:

No LAN mode
No Splitscreen
No saving of photos/videos to the HDD (that's EA specific, probably because Xbox360 doesn't allow transferring media to/from the HDD via USB)
