Um, can we photograph a race for this, with more than one car - or montage two cars together from two Phototravel shots? I know the rules explicitly say no, but I'm thinking chase scenes here. :D

You can take a shot of multiple cars in a race, but you can't combine two cars into one photo because that doesn't stick to the rules of PMC. 👍

i totally agree with alex. specially if you have a set of rules that allow multiple car pics in phototravel! too bad we can't do that in 2.0 either.

Here's a few ideas to get you started;

-Muscle cars jumping down the Seattle hills
-Minis driving about in tight formation
-Aston Martins cruising around mountain roads
-Muscle cars dashing about on dirt/grass
-Cars being chased by the safety car
-A car out of control

There are loads of things, like I said it DOES NOT have to be from a movie. Just inspired by one, and it has to capture the essence of a film.

Nice one Tangled Web,like how you make as if it was a car chase scene. But i still don't get it.What does the theme means? Can it be done in Photo Travel?I was thinking of a love scene (yeah, you heard me right) from a movie (thinking of Herbie....hmmmm,the love bug?) but i don't know if i could enter.I can't play my PS2 right now but i'll try my best and use any of my existing photos....

Your shot has to be inspired by a film, or relate back to a film or film scene or something to do with a film. You can use Phototravel, like it says so in the rules. Please read them again if you're unsure.

New Final Entry

"Where'd'ya think you're going?"

New entry. Hope you like it. This is inspired by 'The Island' starring Scarlett Johansson (yum) and all round top bloke Ewan McGregor. And, of course, an "Oh-nine Caddy" in the form of the Cien, and lots of pimped Dodge Magnums. Chrysler 300C sedan is a bloodbrother to the same, so in it goes, on BBS rims.

Old entry plus another 'honourable mention' as thumbs below.

Venari.

By the way, yes, it is Chamonix. I could tell you how I did it, but then I'd have to kill you.

Let's just say, like Miss Masterson, I had to buy tyres elsewhere.

are glitched/gs'ed/hacked saves allowed?

I was wondering the same. It doesn't say that in the rules but I figure the spirit of this comp is how good of a photo you can take within the confines of GT4 itself. If photoshop is not allowed to change the parameters of a picture (outside brightness/contrast/gamma), then one could assume that other programs (if say a gs was used) wouldn't be allowed either. Again, it doesn't say in the rules that what has been done in the photo is wrong, but it does make for an uneven playing field. Just my opinion of course.

I think it would be helpful if when you post your entry you say what film inspired it.

The black 911 / Bad Boys combo is a sweet choice, I wish I'd though of it!

I wondered if I'd cause a controversy. :D

I won't be offended if you don't vote for me. :) Somewhere, one of the threads says 'have fun', and I certainly did: the big Vanquish is a big handful on snow and ice!

Actually, the pic doesn't really convey what the comp had in mind - although I started out with the ice arena to mimic Die Another Day (which worked fairly well) I got better scenery out of Chamonix and forgot what the purpose was.

I may yet try again. I had the idea of Ronin too, and Brock's shot is spot-on!

Thanks for the comments - disagreement is good, it makes people think harder!

Changed my entry, bit more of an effort at a definite link to a movie.

Go here.

Enjoy! :)

Venari.

Well you all just knew that my entry would have a Aston Martin in, didn't you? So here it is. To tell the truth it was inspired by 2 movies, James Bond and funnily enough "The Italian Job Orginal". The reason why it was inspired by the Italian Job is because I think this shot makes me feel like that Miura driver at the beginning (minus the exploding part).

FINAL ENTRY

Nice, speedster! IMO the DB9 is one of the most poorly rendered cars in the game, which is a darned shame. However, you've portrayed it very well here. Top banana!

Thanks, I know it is a very poorly rendered car, I was hugely dissapointed with it. But thanks Venari!

I'd like to change my entry...I never really liked my first shot...this one remids me more of Bad Boys...

FINAL ENTRY

Sorry for the inconvenience, hope you like it 👍
