Welcome to Photomode Magazine Cover Competition Week 16
This competition will be testing cover design, photoshop abilities and photomode abilities of residents of the planet.

Rules
Only Imageshack thumbnails will be considered for entry.
Use your own pictures.
Maximum 2 entries per person, per week. *NEW*
Mark FINAL ENTRY in red on your final entry.
Stick with the theme.
The picking will go like the Photomode Competition goes by a poll

Theme
This weeks theme, as picked by Vicious VP, will be History of The Automobile

Further Information:
This week competition consists TWO parts

Part ONE is the COVER of a book/magazine. Any cars can be used but the word "History" has to be in somewhere the title.

Part TWO is a one page ARTICLE (the history) featuring VOLKSWAGEN. GT4 has cars from '49 to the Nardo concept. Information can be gotten from the internet BUT only the facts can be used - you have to write the article yourself. No "cut and pasting" in someone else's work

I guess you can make two pages side by side if you need more room

I think the article part is really hard for me

Just the opposite for me....I can whip up an article on anything but I ain't got no PS skillz

Man, this sounds like a school project! In fact, I just had a class that had similar requirements as this contest. Hmmmmm... It's to bad I hate school!

I'm assuming the rules allow for grabbing vehicles from outside GT4,
if there's not enough historic representation from inside GT4.

i'm out, this is supposed to be a photomode competition, not a copy-writing comp..

how about someone providing "the essay"
so everybody using the same paragraph for their entry
and your job is just putting photos and paste that paragraph

that would be like you are working in publishing company
there are couple artists work on the same book
the writing is done by the other department
all we need is to find photos and put them together
and the manager decides which artists' work will be used for the final publication

this compo supposed to be a graphics department
I think that would be fair to those who doesn't born to be a writer
and Kenny may do us a favor making us a sample essay
so what do you guys think?

toad > you can use real car photos, but shouldn't use them more than GT4's

i have a question.
does it have to be the history of the brand or can it also be the history of the golf?
(i realised i don't have that many Volkswagens)

you can have anything you like on the cover
but the article part has to be VW
I believe it is fine to concentrate Golf only
let's say there are couple pages on VW in your book
and you are showing one page only which talks about Golf

I totally understand not everyone own all VW
but if you need Nardo, you can use other "supercars" in the game
and you will have a chance racing against Nardo
then take photos of it by running the saved replay

No worries on the 'from GT4 only' either. Can handle that.
Still looking for the Nike car from 1934 though... the one Phil Franks Grandfather designed. With the semiphore code hidden...

Ooooh... I got a bit confused over the rules.
Got my concept together (and references), but just discoved that Part 2 has nothing to do with Part 1 (is that correct?).

I was going to tie the two together. And FYI, I was going to do a Honda history thing.

Do Volkswagens have to be in Part 1?
or can I tie Part 2 into Part 1 and avoid that Volkswagen thing...
Not that there's anything wrong with being VW...

Hey-Hey! That's great (the Nagel Brushes I mean). They work quite well... some take a bit of practice and you can always muck about with their settings.
