Great job, both of you!!! Its a pleasure to work in here:tup:

Now, vote people:)

Lovely work Swiss!👍

I really love the blur, especially the trees in the upper left corner. Also, the composition is great, with a nice touch of wide-angle in the mix. The only things are that there are some squared and sharp edges, it's always hard to correctly blur wheels in photo travel, and the door-lines could use some dodge but still... I'm very impressed, I wouldn't be surprised if I miss out on the win in this final round, just like in the PMC tourney! 👍

Both good and equal measured entries. Both with good and bad sides. Both with a like/hate situation.

I’ll start with Bram: It is not nearly has good has that final rejec,t if you ask me. The cleaning is very good (I think) and the car looks very realistic, although the front side part doesn’t go with the rear part. One is very metallic looking, very shining and whatnot and the other is a bit smudgy and blurred. Also, you have to take care of those hard edges on the reflection transition, they are too sharp. Maybe passing a little smudge on them would soften it up a little. One thing that throws me off a little is the fact of the picture being black and white. I give you kudus for the risk taken, but I would really prefer to see a bit of colour on it. Those types of shots don’t really match with black and white tones, IMO. Also B/W prevents from seeing the detail (like the cleaning of the car, and/or appreciate the blur).

Swiss : The blur, colours and composition are great, very smooth, very eye catching. I love the blur, very realistic, very real photography type of blur, the wheels (for a phototravel location) are great IMO.
The car cleaning is one thing that I can't say good things about, unfortunly. The car is very smudgy and blurred. Some parts are very pastel like, there are some hard edges, you could have reworked the lines better (the lines in the front and headlights) and add some dodge on the lines works. When I first look at the preview I was like: Oh what is this, amazing, OMG, but when I open the full size I was a bit disappointed. The car looks a little rushed if you ask me.

My true dilemma lies between: Very good Background/Car that are thrown off by the Black and White VS. Great Background/Colour/Composition but not so good cleaning of the car.

Wow, seems like I'm really the only one liking the Subbie much more than the RX-7. Oh well... I can't understand how you guys manage to spot all those hard edges though, I've used the blur tool on pretty much every reflection, and I've used a gaussian layer to soften it all up. You've gotta decide though Lds, stating the image is both blurred and too sharp makes things hard for me to understand

Also, I thought I'd get bonus points for making it B&W, something you don't see too often here, and which, in my opinion, gives it a more classic feeling... :indiff:

Oh well, guess I'll have to try harder next time then :)

Who's is who's!? :dunce:

They are both excellent, but I think I'm going for the guy using 'my' alloys - gotta love 'em! ;)

Some parts like the rear part of the car looks a little smudged and blurred. In the side part, the reflections transition is hard (to sharp).

But as I said, I give you bonus kudus for making something different and taken up the risk, although and quitte frankly I would prefer to see some colour is that shot.

I liked the RX7 better than the subaru, although I still voted for the Subaru. The Ruf was great, but something about the Blur on Bram's shot was stunning when put into B&W.

I completely agree with that. I ended up going for the RUF simply because of car preference.

@ Bram - I thank you for the compliments on the blur. Took me awhile to get it spot on. I can't believe I'm in contention with you.
What an awesome shot. Awesome cleaning. Looks great, usually you can't tell if it's been cleaned well in b&w. B&w kinda hides flaws as does adding noise. But man, your shot has no flaws. It was quite a risk to go for b&w. I applaud you for doing so. I love that shot. (But I might like the RX-7 better also ;) )

@ mag - I used "your" alloys? Thanks for letting me borrow them. ;) They're awesome on that car. i was browsing used rims, actually looking for the bling rims. But came upon those and they look sweet on the Ruf.

@ LdS - I do digress that the car could've come out better. I made one huge mistake. In a nutshell, I had the car and background as two separate layers. Cleaned both, added blur...blah blah... and accidentally flattened the image before I was finished with the lighting. It completely ruined the car. It took me a half hour to fix what I had done. I was pretty pissed at myself. I salvaged it as best I could. But thanks for the compliments on the blur. At least one thing on that shot went perfectly for me.

@ skyline49 - Rufs do indeed rock. I'm glad you voted for my shot!

Thanks for the comments and critiques from all of you.

And lastly I need to applaud NTX for his fantastic job of hosting the legendary 2.0 tournament again! :D:tup:

No worries pal!

Both of these shots are true 2.0 looking, very tough to cast a vote. Swiss mate, I enjoy a lot your shot, incredible blur for a phototravel shot, and also on the car rims. Lovely contrast too. But I don´t know, something in Bram´s shot really makes it stand out...maybe its B&W look?! I also loved the car choice, brutal looking...and lovely rims!! The blur also helps a lot here, very good indeed!!
LDS said that being in B&W it prevents seeing all the details (and of course his opinion must be respected), but to me, being in B&W...really makes this brutal looking shot stand out. So I ended voting for Bram.

Both of these shots are winners (and we can see that on the votes, only 1 vote difference), so once more the Final Round match is can go either way. I really love close matches:tup:

Its neck and neck guys, you couldn't slip a rizla between 'em both - Excellent competition! 👍

Wow, the tension is killing me! I can't remember me being in a tie-brake...

A big thanks to all the voters for me throughout the Tourney though, and a  for everyone taking part. Whether I lose or win, I've definitely learned some "new moves" during this Tournament, and I hope to get better and better in the future 👍

Swiss, once more, lovely shot. You really deserve the win, no need to b*tch you entry because of them flaws, because this is the best I've seen from you yet. It also marks how good you have become, and it shows us your potential for the future 👍

Also, Lds, sorry for yesterday. I didn't mean to jump out of my skin like that. It's just that I've used a ton of time on getting my entry right, and this entry is in my eyes my entry with the fewest flaws ever. I've never been able to give these rims such a shine, I love the tones I came up with, I thought the angle had some potential, and the blur came out almost perfect! Too bad this car is not as well pixelated as its smaller brother, the sedan. The sedan is one the best, if not the best, pixelated car, while the wagon is one of the worst pixelated cars I've used. So sorry, I was just so tired, I spent a ton of time on my entry, and the tension was killing me, making me react exaggerated. My apologies :)

A big  to everyone!

Nah, I didn’t take the hard way. I know what is like. Spend so much time with something and then that something doesn’t seem to quite please everyone. No one knows exactly what and how much work someone put in. So, has Beerz onetime said:
it's not how long you take with the shots, it's what you do with them.

Me either. And I can't believe that as of now, we are tied! It's been a blast. I knew I had to really "wow the crowd" as it were to even stand a chance. :)

:embarrassed:. Thanks bro. I really appreciate that.

A big  to everyone!

Swiss Legend wins the 2.0 division of the Tournament. Congrats mate:)

Well done you too Bram, great shot no doubt:)

Thanks for the comments guys!

I really can't believe that I won!
@ Bram - That was an epic and very close, close battle. One for the ages. And the most nail-biting few days of my gtp life! Congrats on a brilliant shot.

Thanks to those who voted for my shot. This win is truly appreciated and I'm still in awe.

I honestly can't pick which is the better shot. glad i forgot to vote, or i wouldn't be able to vote for one!

****ing crazy boys!

Great final, both superb entries.

Congrats Swiss, you really have come a long way with your shots in a small time. 👍
