Any info on this pic. Is it GT5?

-> Wha?! The car looks nice, never seen it before, but that track looks different (Seoul maybe?). (:

I really don't think that's it. Look at the crowd on the background, they are 2D. PD won't degrade from 3D crowd in GT4 to 2D.

Why on earth would that be GT5 if the last GT video showing the RX-7 and Evo 9 were running on PS3 hardware unrendered?

That's Ridge Racer Revolution as said above.
Have some common sense.

Just look at the pics location, it tells you what site the pic came from there, and the pics named racing evolution. Mind you it is rendered at a higher res than the game and looks like it has aa running too which both make it look better.

First of all, I very doubt GT5 will have 2D crowds, just as we've seen what the Xbox 360 racing games can do and they have 3D crowds.

Plus, it doesn't look much better than GT4 anyway even though it looks higher res.

It's not GT5, it's R Racing Evolution.

And the car in the pic is the Saleen S7R, which if you want to drive can be found in GTR for PC and Forza on Xbox.

For people who think I get too soft on GT4, I'll say that it kind of wasn't cool to not see the Saleen S7R. This is an awesome American supercar, and its racing counterpart is a cool race car. The Konrad Motorsport S7R or the S7R from the 2001 or 2002 ALMS season would also have been good.

The screenshot is from "R: Racing Evolution," a game I still have not played to this date. Why would you use another game and say that these graphics are going to be GT5? We have a word for that. No, not stupid... but foolish. We don't know GT5, even with the Tokyo Game Show coverage earlier this year. How can anyone be sure that GT5 is going to end up looking like "R: Racing Evolution?" By the way, if GT5 doesn't have 3D crowds and 3D bystanders, it won't kill you.

Would I like to see the Saleen S7R appear in a game? Yeah, I would. Unfortunately "Young_Warrior," this picture isn't GT5. This car isn't in GT5 as of this date. I'm sorry. There's just not a lot for us to know or take account of to talk about GT5. You certainly didn't fool me on this. If it's in the final product, good. If not, start a GT6 Car Wishlist. Dig me?

Not to worry too much if they don't include the S7R Race Car. If they include the S7TT, then you will have the S7R. If you have never seen the S7TT, you need to, this thing was built for racing, don't care what anyone says. Saleen even has the option to equip the car with a different wing, some kind of sportier than sport package. PD better include this machine as I am willing to bet it will be hands down the best car in the entire game. Well production car.

As for the bloke with the question, if you had looked around the site you probably would have found the video which showcases two car models built for GT5, they level that photo you have. Anyone notice the cartoon-ish look to that photo, lol.

Mr P510
Believe me guys, GT5 will look '100 times' more detailed than that screen.
Kaz said so. :sly:

Oh dear.
Oh dear me.

Anyway, do we have any knowledge on how the graphics engine will be updated for GT5? Obviously with the enhanced graphical capability of the PS3, there is great scope for new detail, but I can't see PD doing much new work. However, it is very noticeable that the graphics for cars are far nicer in a rendered photo mode shot for PS2 than in-game. Maybe the detail level of photo mode for PS2 will become the motion picture detail level for GT5?
OK, I can't see THAT many new cars coming out of it, but that would be a good start, especially with a respectable number of cars on the track.
