Pickpocketing in Vice city?

When I sometimes choose to walk the streets in Liberty City, I see one character that always pickpockets the peds. They look like a gang but they aren't and usually don't have weapons. I'm sure that Tommy can't pickpocket( or can he ) but will he be able to in Vice city? Also does anyone else ever see these characters?

i have both versions of gta 3 and i have not seen this but now i think i will look harder now to see if this is true

Why would you go to all the trouble of pickpocketing when you could just beat the snots out of someone and then take their money?

KM's 4 easy steps to pick pocket

1. find victim umm i mean person 😈

2. take your favorite gun, car, tank etc etc

3.shoot, run over, blow up with tank shell

4. take what u need money,gun, body part

Characters are theives. They also steal your car

Why would you kill anyone for money in GT3 other than for the shear pleasure. I mean, they give you so much money in that game it isn't even funny. You would make more money just by simply smashing into another car than killing someone and taking their money.

I think they wear the blue camouflage style pants - keep an eye on them, if they've shaken a few people down, they're good for a beating to make some quick cash.

Not always, but they're the most common. You can hang around the ATMs, too - when peds leave them, they're always worth a bit of a hit.

Llook around - I usually hang around the Punk Noodle shop in China Town. I think there's some around the corner from Woodys in the Red Light district too.
