They do look tasty!

I think I'd let them live till next year anyway.. look like yearlings.

Yeah those were especially cute little deer! Maybe it was cause they have so much fur because it's so cold? I haven't shot a deer in years.. kind of lost interest in hunting.

I shoot lots of woodchucks (that dig up my yard) and kill lots of mice, voles, and moles, though! (trap them in my basement)

Killed a vole today actually.

dont look at pic if you don't want to see dead animal!!

There are some deer that live near me.

I saw them but before i could take a picture they ran off.

Yeah the day before I was out there and stood still for 20 minutes and they walked within 20 yards of me. Wind was blowing in the right direction or else that would have never happened. The Today I saw them and got the cam and was able to get pics and vid. They were in same exact spot doing same exact thing.

I had mice as pets as a kid.. and woodchucks are cute animals too actually.. Too bad they have to all die around me, but they destroy stuff, so they have to go unfortunately. There will always be plenty around though.

They did - at the end. There was a movement anomalous to their natural world - a human coming after them with a camera. :D

I'm glad we've evolved to the point that we can share a moment with these animals - irrespective of who took whose property, or whether we can't get the cuts of venison and wild-boar we crave, at the local butchers. There was a time in our history that we would have immediately run after them with a pointy stick in our hands - today we look at them with a sort of child-like awe that such things exist - not just in picture books, or bored in cages, but wandering with the mankind-given freedom to survive and sense. When someone we know has experienced it first hand - and then brings it closer to us via the new 'pointy-stick' technology - social media - we are all touched by the event.
Was a nice video - very calming. For a moment I was back in an Yurt - and watching Nature at work.

They do look like yearlings - which provokes the thought - where are the rest of the herd?

I was in a car at the time.

I was driving slowly and they still ran off.
