So I need a new motorcycle and have been torn between a nice brand new 2017 light weight Honda super sports bike (CBR300RR) and the world's best selling donkey replacement; the Honda Super Cub. Price isn't an issue although one is 4 times more than the other and either will be used as a daily, round town commuter vehicle.

I was pretty set on the CBR until I thought about the many roads around here that resemble those in Basra, Aleppo or The Hindu Kush mountains - dirt and gravel tracks with pot holes big enough to bath a toddler in.

That got me leaning more towards the Cub, but the traditional colour schemes are lame even on the brand new models. So for a bit of fun I'm asking for GTP members to pitch in with their ideas and if there's a really good one I'll buy the Cub and get it painted/ vinyl'd for real within the next few weeks. IF not I guess I'll end up with a CBR.

I've got a template which can be used either digitally or with that old box of colouring pencils you haven't used in the last 12 years which is crammed into a junk draw somewhere in your house:

In the last few days I've reviewed so many liveries but none of them have really struck me as perfect, although the following are quite interesting (yes, I'm aware a Honda isn't an Italian 2-stroke ;) ) :

So...you get the idea. All colour schemes/ liveries welcome, it doesn't necessarily have to be a racing scheme but racing colours on a Cub would be (to me) hilariously ironic.

I would definitely go with the powder blue and orange Gulf livery. Failing that, a black and gold JPS Team Lotus scheme.

I have no artistic ability whatsoever so I won't disgrace the JPS Lotus by trying to draw an implementation of it.

The stock model actually comes in the same powder blue colour only with white leg guard panels so that one wouldn't even need taking to the paint shop, I could manage that myself. Not much of a radical change though.

What about 'Castrol' (white red green)? Or 'Takata Dome'? which would add even further irony as there are no seat belts.

[EDIT]

What seat colours are available? If red white or green were an option, I think it would look fairly pimp with the 'Castrol' livery.

[EDIT 2]

What about a yellow and blue 'SPOON' livery? Though really for that to work best, sprayed or powder coated black wheels would be the touch.

It doesn't have to be a famous race livery, it could anything, even a Pokemon design ( :( ) I'm just looking for something unique and pretty much anything is doable from paint to vinyl wrap. I've looked at the Castrol colours and they are quite nice:

Part of me feels that you could do a funny F1 parody with the front mudguard; paint it like the nose of the car itself.

The old McLaren liveries might be pretty neat. Simple, and not too flaunty, yet still recognizable.

The shape might be kind of awkward, since the livery has pretty strong angles, while the bike's designed with a rounder shape.
