Pinnacle Island - Jelly Doughnut on Mars?

I saw that pop up on my Facebook. It is about damn time we finally found some evidence of alien life out there.

Who knew they like donuts?

Somehow I don't think having a level of manganese twice as high as the few other Martian samples we've been able to take so far is a sign of alien life, weird or otherwise. Yeah, there's more sulfur and magnesium too. To suggest that's somehow a sign of life is ridiculous.

News flash: There have been minerals discovered right here on Earth with compositions out of the chemical norm, too, and they've been around since before life developed here. Or from before life was imported here (that last for the nutter crowd).

Is it just me or does it look sorta concave like a big hail stone? Like it was formed as it fell from the sky. Perhaps a volcanic projectile. That could explain the odd composition if it came from within the planet.

Looks like something blew across the ground and landed on a rock. Big whoop.

I told my dad about the theory of life starting on Mars and coming to Earth on a meteorite and he laughed.

The idea of "something" blowing across the ground on Mars is big news. There's not a lot of anything on Mars, so "something" is very unusual. It's already been stated that this "something" is unlike any rocks they've seen yet and we've been looking at a lot of rocks for a lot of years now.

Interestingly enough, scientists are using the data from the pinnacle island jelly doughnut to generate concepts of what martian life might look like....
