Another reason why I chose the Panoz, it doesn't run with assist-sies, so it shouldn't have much of a effect on how it runs. No, when they are off the adjustments don't do anything.

I agree the statement sounds unfair and looking back on it now, I should have used a better analogy. It was my way of saying 'hey, in case you didn't know, those points come from the guys below each race and not from thin air.'.. Which, may not even be true now. Well, at least to the extent that I thought to begin with, anyway .@potvinsuks, I didn't misconstrue what you said, I didn't take it it maliciously nor was I trying to read into a deeper meaning of the statement. I was just pointing out that the statement, as it was written, was unfair. Thank you for explaining your thought process of what you meant by it. Don't regret posting it either, I appreciate your opinion. I am just having a dialog with you, and this isn't being/been blown up into a big thing.
I have not found a source that supports your statement that the points come from the other drivers in the lobby and not generated by the game's algorithm. SMS themselves don't state that in their post of how the system works. It states the following:
"The way this works is as follows: If you race and win against drivers who are a lot better than you, you’re going to get a lot of points—similarly, beating drivers who are slightly better will also see you get assigned a decent point score. If you beat drivers who are worse than you, you’re still going to get points, but not as much as if you beat higher-ranked drivers. Of course, should you lose against drivers who are ranked lower than you, you’re going to lose points."

Second Source: Watch 4:00 - 7:00 minute marks.
*Note - retirements or quitting can lead to the largest decrease in points of up to 30-40 pts.
To answer your question of why we have it turned on, it is because we like the feature. I know other drivers in the league like the feature. I will concede I assumed some drivers would take the rating seriously and police themselves to be clean racers and avoid mistakes, since PITS doesn't use the in game penalties. Thus, we decided to make it one of the criteria for a race to be considered official. It is that simple, I have no justification beyond that. Now, does that mean me, HazardLvL4, takes it seriously or care about it or judge other drivers by it?, no. I put more significance on my Rainbow Six Siege Rank.
That all being said, PITS 2 will continue to operate the way we always have, and I hope this answers your question to some extent. Have a good weekend @potvinsuks, and see you on track soon.
What ? I think it is you that has been missing in action lately.. Or is it that you're racing when I'm not and vice versa ?I'm still at, like an "F" license or something... I need all the points I can get. Besides, I've impressed literally no one in racing with you guys. Including you guys. But having a blast doing this - and I could care less if I get points or lose points, I've only just realized (week or two ago) that I was at "E" or "F" whatever, and everyone else was either "A" or "S". I had to look it up at work the next day.
I've missed racing with you the last few weeks... and I know Bear has, I've been exclusively punting him off the track without you there, well, and ONESPACE.
We need you back, man.
I'm sure the Driver Rating's importance in GTS may have rubbed over to pCARS a bit bro, not gonna lie .Is this the result of playing too much granturismo where all ppl care about is the stupid driver rating??
Right now I'm in one league on GTS and that's Tuesday nights in a very competitive league. I can not explain to you how many issues I'm having keeping the GT3 cars on track . I think it's because of some of what you said bro.I got to be honest, and absolutely not a person will give two ****es, but I tried playing GTS about a week ago after not playing it for a couple months or more and it was just terrible. It looks great, sure, but it's just so, meh. And I'm not hatin' or trying to get into to all that rigmarole, because GT series will always be special to me as it was my first love of racing games - real love of racing games. Back in the day it was it, especially if you didn't have a PC. But it's just weak compared to today's offerings... And the online is a joke at best. Every time I would get to the front or even close, bam, smacked off the track. And I'm talking about torpedoing... not just "comin' in hot"!
Anyhoo, I still can enjoy GTS, but only in the same way I can enjoy Forza. . . 👍
You and David33 were going back and forth asking a whole bunch of analytical questions about TC, CS, ON, OFF, Assists, authentic, realistic, ABS etc. at Alex . So, I figured to throw that question in there as well - fulfilling the thoroughgoing conversation, and trying to be funny . Then Hazard asked me why I asked. You can see the post on Post/Report 3712.btw, @potvinsuks , who asked you? I think I'm the newest schleb to race with all you Seasoned Veterans - and I don't give two 'oinks about it. I'm just curious, "who asked you about it"...

I appreciate you taking the time out for this Hazard. You've answered some questions that I've had on my mind for a while now, and thank you for all of the information.
Don't get me wrong, I still don't think they the RP should be on, but now it's alot more comforting to know why we use it.
Thank you for being so cool about it Hazard. See you on the grid bud.

But no man, I'm not going anywhere. We had no race this week, then I missed the week prior (Mugello) but was at the race prior and I think I missed the week prior that due to work. So we're probably just alternating bro. I miss racing with you too and, you know already, just how much I love racing with this group.
I'm sure the Driver Rating's importance in GTS may have rubbed over to pCARS a bit bro, not gonna lie .
However, if there was a Sim where the DR-SR mattered most then hands down, GTS would be the one. Your Ranking is very important when in Sport Mode.
I also, am not ashamed to say it but, my Ranking is important to me when on pCARS. Even though it's not as critical of a factor in the sim, it's still something that I use to somewhat guage myself.

Being that there's less information available going to the wheel. I'm unable to asses what's going on as much on GTS as I'm so used to pCARS 2's AMAZING FFB feel .
Is it as good as pCARS 2? Heck no. The Livery Maker is awesome and graphics are sweet but, I'd rather have LiveTrack 3.0, amazing track and car selections, and most importantly - to actually feel the road more.
However, that's not to say you can't have fun playing GTS. I just try and enjoy the aspects that each sim gives you.

I don't even look at my points anymore. They bounced around..I've been as high as 1490 and down to 1320.Pots and his points.
Do I try and keep my points as high as I can? You're damn right because I need to measure my epeen just like everyone else!

@bigtimedave, since you posed this question last night, I figured this guy could answer it better than I ever could.
Driver61 has great videos and tips and he's actually a former professional driver, thanks. I've actually lowered my brakes pressure to 65% and moved the bias towers the rear 52/48 seems to help with the brakes locking up.

C'mon man!"towers"?
Ask @coltsjugg , he's on the TT with 48's in the CLK .Wasn't able to practice yesterday, but hope to be on later this evening if anyone sees me on, please invite me to get some laps down at Nurburgring GP.

What kinds of times are looking good there? I was able to practice a bit on Friday night (by myself) but I don't think I was doing very good times. Car "felt" really slow there for some reason. I couldn't even outrun the Ai on 100% there. Best I could manage was P2. Can't remember the times though.

I will be on this evening running some more practice at Nurburgring GP. Lap time representation is going to be a bit tricky considering all the cars are paced differently from each other. That being said, I am able to put down 1:49:500's in the Porsche, which I am happy with. That is currently 0.700 faster than the LR listed on the PC leaderboards. There is probably another quarter second to gain, but we will see. Quali will be in the 1:48's.
