Do the Seasonal Events count towards the Platinum Trophy?

I have Gold on all these:

Licenses

National B License
National A License
International C License
International B License
International A License
Super License

Special Events

Gran Turismo Karting Experience
Jeff Gordon NASCAR School
Top Gear Test Track
AMG Driving Academy
Gran Turismo Rally
Grand Tour
Sebastien Loeb Rally Challenge
Sebastian Vettel X Challenge

Racing Series (A-Spec and B-Spec)

Beginner Series
Amateur Series
Professional Series
Expert Series
Extreme Series
Endurance Series

And still no sign of this "Mystical Trophy"

Do the Seasonal Events count towards the Platinum Trophy?
No. In simplest terms; check you have golded every event within each series, that all championship events were run as championships and not individual events, and that you have all the other trophies (doh!).

I think those are the main checks, but it was a long time ago..

Seasonal do not count toward the plat. Did you do the championships or just the constituent races? That's the only thing I can think of.

Well, I checked your trophies, and you don't have "Endurance Series" trophy, so you must have missed something there. Of course to platinum, you need 18 different trophies also :)

I thought by doing either the A-Spec or B-Spec Endurance Series counted ???
does it mean, I have to do both of them? So obviously I've missed something somewhere me thinks :(

IIRC you must gold every single event, A & B Spec for Platinum, doing it your way by mixing the endurance races up will get you to 100% but not Platinum sadly. Don't quote me on that, but i'm (almost) pretty sure that's how it is, was many months since I got my Platinum.

Edit - Looking at your gamercard, it says you only have 62% of the trophies in the game so you are missing quite a lot, last one it said you got was the Car Collector trophy.

If PD haven't changed something via update, you only need to gold one Spec.
I got the platinum without completing any A-Spec endurance race and to be honest i was surprised back then.
Still i haven't raced 2 endurance races and my game progress is at 99%.

I defer to your knowledge, does sound correct. Yes that's right, 100% when you have completed all events, and like fifomaniak said you still need quite a few other trophies for Platinum also.

I was talking about the A/B Spec races, not for the GT5 trophies in general.
I am just saying that there is no need to get gold in every single race event in both specs, either one will do. Thats all.

Do the Seasonal Events count towards the Platinum Trophy?
No.

The Platinum PSN Trophy is awarded for getting all the other PSN trophies in the game. This means not just beating all of the races, but fulfilling all the other little PSN trophy requirements - buying cars of a certain value, taking certain photomode photographs and other little things.

A complete guide to the game's PSN trophies is in the single sticky thread atop this forum.

To be honest, if you can work out why the Endurance one hasn't pinged, you've done the hard part. You're just left with a couple of photos, a 2P race you can do on your own and lapping Daytona in a kart...

Fewer than 2,000 people have platinumed GT5, of the millions that bought it...

Someone posted a thread the other week about where you rank in GT5. You could browse all PSNIDs against how many GT5 trophies they'd earned (more = ranked higher) and those who'd Platinumed the game were ranked according to when they achieved it (earlier = ranked higher).

There were only a couple thousand with Platinum.

Yes that was my thread, I found the site and posted a link and instructions on how to find your ranking.

And yes there is just over 2000 people, I hope to join those 2000 in the next 6 months.
.PS Can anyone here tell me the EASIEST way to grind to lvl 40? I'm at lvl 37 after beating LeMans

You don't need all golds in A AND B spec events. All gold in one or the other will suffice. I found out the hard way:dunce: by doing the last three a-spec enduros (against my better judgemet) when I didn't have to.

Most seasonals give much more exp/min than 24h races, or any other. Try them. And trying to "catch the rabbit" is generally less boring than 24h race ;)

Wow, I totally missed that statistic.

If ever there was an incentive for me to get those last two Vettel races "golded" then this is it. 👍

Problem with that is the website seems to probably only track people who updated their PSN IDs on that website. The website shows as there being only 240,908 game owners for GT5 from the current 956,838 PSN profiles they track on their website.

I believe that 2,000 figure belongs to psnprofiles.com and their number of registered users. Their stats show:

240,908 owners of GT5
2,254 w/platinum or .94%

One could probably use that .94% to figure out that there are a lot more than 2,254 platinum holders in the world.

ok that explains a lot thanks, cause only 2.000 really looks far fetched and i was about to ask for the source and data, but you said it all. 👍

I'm not registered on that site. Yet my profile appears on there in the Platinum GT5ers...

Hmmm... I did a cursory search on that for my account w/plat based on estimated date of that plat and couldn't find myself there. Could be missing something. How did you search?

Edit: I did not create an account there.

I just looked up the date of my Platinum on my PS3.

Sure enough...

Just checked "The Platinum Club" on the top right corner...

The latest one to achieve it! :odd:
