Does anyone else still shop at Play.com?

As of recent times I have noticed their service getting worse and worse since their take-over by Rakuten Group. 2 of my friends have purchased games from them and one never received their item and one has been waiting 3 weeks and still received nothing.

Even though they have decent prices I have become very wary of ordering from them..anyone else had bad experiences with them?

I ordered 2 albums from them a while back which never showed up. They were quick to refund me so I'm thinking they never sent them. On the bright side they gave me back more than I paid, only about 80p more but still.

I don't suppose "Play Asia" is a division of the same company? Play Asia ship US and Euro games to Asia. If they are indeed the same company, I have used them a few times recently and have zero complaints.

Play-Asia are separate companies, yes.

Thanks for the clarification. If I'm not mistaken, play Asia's website is fairly similar to play's old website. It's a shame that people are having problems with play. They used to be an excellent company and would normally get pre orders to their customers a day or two before release.

Yeah, that's why I think the take-over is kind of to blame. Another thing as well that might be causing the problems is that now it's not made obvious that Play.com might not be supplying the goods but rather a 3rd party, it used to be easily shown to the user but now it's just kind of blended in as if it's as reliable as them themselves.

When I preordered GT5 (collectors edition), I got it 2 days after release from play.com. I wasn't happy...
