With all the news of Feb. 20, 2013, I have gone back to what attracted me to Gran Turismo. Watching replays.
When I first saw Gran Turismo, it was in a game store. Seeing the A green C5 Corvette mixing it with an EG6 after coming out of the tunnel in Grand Valley, I thought to myself this is too real. Someone has gone into my brain and taken my idea and actually made something for me( I'm sure those of us that played the original back in '90s can relate).
After watching the full race of Super Gt Rd.8 Motegi 2010 and then playing those 53 laps myself. I have to say, I was enjoying the replay. It is like watching the real race. The sound of that HSV. The battle I had with the Diablo for 3 laps. Not one angle was off. I was glued to the action. The worm cam at turn 5, the camera down the pit straight. It was awesome.
Some things we bark about in whatever we dislike of GT. PD certainly has and always will be about the visual details and replay factor. So do you play GT to watch the replays? Or do you play GT due to its replay factor?
